Greeting my neighbour | Jinki x Jaehyung
The end of a long, but satisfying day. At work he had found some time to successfully complete some files that had been waiting on his desk for a long time, and after work he had finally visited the orphanage for the first time in two weeks. He was dead tired after all the busy days at the office, but he didn’t dare to skip another day. And he was glad he had ignored the yawns and irritated eyes. The kids had been so happy to see him they had almost tackled him to the ground the moment he walked through the door. Those shining, little faces were more revitalising than any sleep in the world.
However, the moment he left the orphanage the fatigue hit him straight in the face. His legs felt like a bag of bricks, his eyes felt as dry as a bone and his head was pounding heavily. He felt like he could drop to the floor and just sleep there, but with the greatest effort he dragged his heavy legs home. He just had enough energy left in his body to take off his shoes and jacket before letting himself drop down on the soft blankets in his bed. Blackness came over him the moment his head hit his pillow and within seconds he was sent off into a dreamless sleep.
But it didn’t take long before a sudden string of music woke him up like a thunderstorm on a clear summer’s day. His eyes opened like two flashlights. His heart is pounding in his chest as he sat up straight in his bed. For a second, Jinki’s mind was empty. He had no idea where he was or what was happening.
One by one, his senses slowly came back to him. He looked around and he saw he was simply in his bed in his own apartment with Blu, the stray cat, napping peacefully next to him on his bed. Then his ears caught the music that had woken him up. With his eyes still partly shut Jinki crawls out of bed, cursing the (not so hard to guess) source of the sound. He had been patient for a long time, but disturbing his nighttime was just one step too far.
“One day I’m seriously gonna kill this man,” he grumbles as he angrily knocks on his neighbor’s door.
