Remus didn’t have much of a plan, which was completely unlike him but he didn’t have much of a choice - he had to act now, knowing the longer he left it the less likely he was to see his friends alive again. He wasn’t stupid enough to take anyone with him, he wouldn’t risk their lives on a whim - his own however, well, that was different. The male had managed to track some of the death eaters steps, he was almost sure he was closing in on them. He’d gotten about ten miles out of Portharn, and was in the middle of a forest when a dizzy spell suddenly overcame him. Pausing, he lent against the tree holding his head. He blinked a few times, hissing slightly at the stabbing pain in his head. It was only when he really concentrated on how he was feeling that he felt his muscles stiffen up. His whole body ached. Shit. Racking his brain Remus tried to work out what day it was and what the moon cycle was. He’d been so caught up in saving his friends he’d totally forgot it was a full moon. Sliding down, he sat on the floor feeling too weak to move. The male looked around, the forest seemed pretty secluded - there wasn’t much he could do about it now. Night was drawing in, the moon would be out within an hour or so. He could try to move, find somewhere safer but in his state he knew he wouldn’t get far and if anything he would be risking getting closer to people. His eyes felt heavy as he tucked his body up, resting against the tree. Remus closed his eyes briefly trying to control the pain running through his body. Just as he began to settle he heard a twig snap. Groaning he opened his eyes, clutching his stomach in pain. “Who’s there?” He called out, panic evident in his voice.
