Distracting myself with entertaining ideas (well, to me, anyway).
Eli was Ray's first apprentice. Ronan was her second. Eventually she teaches Kai (and probably enjoys trolling him too much), but not Soren because he'd like to live. That and he'd rather annoy Kai by learning magic from him. But anyway. Ray's teaching both Eli and Ro how to use Light Corridors (which Ronan prefers to using Darkness), and I'm kinda thinking about tossing Kai in there too.
He already gets lectured by pretty much his entire rpg party about Corridor usage as it is (really, you can in fact just go into the kitchen for your poptarts instead of blindly rifling through a cupboard from your spot on the couch), I can see Eli pressing the issue and threatening to ask aunt Ray if she'll teach him. Why not, the Thunder lessons are going so well! Ha ha
And while Kai is busy listing every reason in existence 'why not', Ronan just slips over to Ray's through his own Corridor and volunteers his brother.
"Eli and Kai were discussing how useful it is having access to Corridors other than Darkness, and maybe Kai can add that to his training? I mean if you wouldn't mind, I know he can be a handful."
A grumpy, complaining handful that likes showing off and then declaring Ray's pop quizzes in battle as unfair. Silly boy, no one ever said she had to play fair.

So! Ridiculous conversation that’s gonna strike me as funny for the next week, probably. Which I could definitely use, but whatever. Thought I’d amuse you with it since your cupcake started it, lol.
guys genuine question where tf do i get a genuinely GOOD pierrot costume from for no reason in particular?
More thunder! Can I hide anywhere? It got me thinking about Eli's reaction to thunder versus his mom's. Amy's terrified of it. It's too loud and too close and sounds like the house is about to come down on her head. She's almost more afraid of it than she is of Heartless. Almost.
Meanwhile, her son is practically nature incarnate. Eli loves sunny days and storms equally, and he's never been afraid of thunder or lightning. He was always wanting to go out in the rain as a kid, and walking home from school would just dawdle along, not minding if he got wet if he could listen to the thunder crash overhead.
I imagine as an adult, a big storm kicks up with plenty of thunder and lightning. Eli's at home with Kai and the others, and his parents are back at Rainbow's End. Eli hears an enormous crack overhead and wonders out loud if his mom's okay. Probably yes, he decides. His dad's most likely there. But...what if he's not? What if his dad's gone to the market? Well, okay, then aunt Mabry or uncle Brendan or one of the other Refs is there.
Or they're not. And if they're not, then his mom's alone, and she's scared, and maybe hiding in the bedroom closet again, like she used to do sometimes during really bad storms. And he doesn't want her to be alone and scared. So yeah guys, he's just gonna...step out here for a second, you know, open a Light Corridor real quick and pop in back home just to check. He'll just be a minute, or ten, or however long his mom needs him.
Do I want a Danny Ketch solo-esque verse where Robbie is an adult who inevitably pushed Gabe away and is barely holding his shit together and is resentful of the entire superhero world for wrecking his life but relies on the "hits" of power he gets as Ghost Rider? Yes.
robbie’s idea of dressing up is washing his jacket and putting on his only pair of jeans without holes somebody help him before he accidentally insults a head of state
This is probably the migraine talking, but I'm considering Soren's new career as a Gummi ship pilot. Okay, not career, but Kai has the Corridors (including Light once Ray's through with him) and Ronan too, and they should have something else and why not.
Kai's very much against this idea, no one wants Soren piloting a ship, there will be Problems. Eli's pretty much all for it if he's allowed to fly when Kai's not looking. (Pffff no.) Ro...huh. He'd have more of an opinion if he was actually going to be on the ship? He gets seasick (and therefore spacesick) and refuses to set foot on one. While conscious, anyway.
Soren needs to randomly pop up at Ray's (they all go to Master Ray for the important stuff) and ask who he needs to bribe for lessons.
And I need to go to bed and pray this thing doesn't knock me on my ass for another two days.
