hi. lots of you are making off-campus blogs / muses. i don't go there and i don't expect i will, BUT, 1. happy to accommodate! love when you're excited! 2. based on my very vague understanding of the concepts™, here's what i can probably offer you.

there's two easy Young Adult Routes we can take, both of which are very customizable but here's the bare bones:

s&l one where lana actually does go off to/graduate with big honors from a Fancy East Coast College. she would be some variety of scholarship student doing a business/engineering double major which is... probably not the most accessible to most of these girls even if it is the same school, BUT. she would also inevitably be working at least one minimum wage job, one of which would almost definitely be waiting tables, which looks like it very much is.

her usual 'unsuper' verse, which would entail us handwaving the specifics of the setting and putting the talon down Wherever The Fuck. in which case, it would be lana's inherited family business (slightly more sensible), and she would still be managing it / living in the upstairs apartment. she'd still be a student, but she'd just be taking courses online (pursuing her social work degree and whatever the hell other torments she creates for herself). you could easily work for her or just hang out there. or perform / showcase your art there.

in either scenario she is still going through some variety of Unholy Nightmare age 20 via Some Fucking Guy, but at least he isn't that particular one. and she will not be married to him. in either scenario she is ALSO likely to at least frequent #artistic #spaces, so there is that as a potential social link. she always IS an artist (painting / drawing) but it's never an academic focus past high school --- she may very well sell some pieces to pay for classes or whatever, though.

as you're obviously aware, my focus on The Blog more generally is #adulthood, so you can have her for as long as you want her. she makes a good mom friend, obviously, although she largely has none of those because i keep forgetting to give them to her 🤷‍♀️

i have been giving this thought and some gif set made me think about it again :’)

solas is clearly very hurt at the end of the game. in good endings/endings where he shows himself willing to restore the veil and finally, finally is more than just the asshole that messed with her head, she will have him restore the veil and tie it to his life force.

but! clearly that might not be so long, especially if he has to support the veil and can’t even heal up. so i can see her returning a week or so after the fight (a few days to be passed out, a few days to think about what she’s going to do and talk it over with everyone) finding a way to get in touch with him. her first thought will be slicing her hand at the prison again, freshly, so it’s easier to find hers among all the blood, or then try the same thing at an altar or two.

basically, she’ll want to know how long he can keep the veil up. and if it’s not long, she will put forward the idea of taking it down but planning it better. they still have factions in minrathous, a veritable army that can now help take out the demons that will swarm, and if they can do it in an actually controlled manner, or slowly, she’ll prefer that way. but basically, this is a veil comes down anyway ending.

she will have questions, she will be checking everything he says, as usual, but if it’s going to come down in her lifetime, she reasons might as well be when she can do something about it, and, as said, while they have the factions there. they won’t have momentum with them for very long, not like they do at the end of the game.

the veilguard will have to agree, but the factions she will probably spin some story for, something about how it’s unstable still because he’s dying and that they will need to prepare for another fight soon when it disintegrates. no one else was there other than the veilguard after all, no one knows what condition he was in. so, basically featuring a fake your own death subplot for solas.

me and @survivall have a verse where our muses go on broadway. what do they perform? Chicago of course. playing on the idea of media speculation around them both having ALLEGEDLY committed murders. they also use this as an opportunity to get alcina’s husband to fund some of the cost of the musical, while also courting speculation a divorce is on the horizon.

and i just know when alcina and @sacrificialmaiid ‘s milena are broken up she’d pay to install a billboard on Milena’s route home to be petty. u can run from ur mean milf ex but u can never hide.
