So...here are the scenes where Levi and Hange appear in the episode subtitles. I hope we'll be fed soon.
Also Yelena was the real highlight of this episode tbh. I'm either going to have nightmares or start laughing out of nowhere when I remember that face.
She looks like she's one of those scarier titans from S1 or she looks like she's trying so hard to shit. I keep oscillating between these two ways to view this face and it's honestly ridiculous. MAPPA did Yelena justice.
As for the episode, the crew is free now, the monkey man is back and all hell is breaking loose. My favorite part was the scene with Gabi, the culmination of her character arc. She grew on me so much in the manga and this was so satisfying for me to watch as someone who loves Gabi. And Falco is best boi, as always.
Episode was great, it looked great, the voice acting was amazing, it felt...longer, for some reason. Maybe it's because I'm not really into fight scenes which don't have ODM gear. But that's just me, and objectively speaking it had pretty great animation.
And I'm sorry, but I had to talk about Nile for a second. He gets a lot of shit from the fandom, but he's such a good guy. He didn't deserve the lot he got in life. I feel for him. Nile, I might not love you like I love others, but damned if I don't really like you and respect you. You were a really good guy.
That's it tbh, not much happened except for Gabi and the return of Zeke. OP is still growing on me, as is the ending. Just...waiting for Levi to come back.
