Yet another ficlet inspired by MadaTobiWeek2020. Only it is just a plunnie rather than a whole story, so once again I can’t submit it. Prompt a/b/o and red eyes are blessed. Omega!Tobirama
RUN
It was a sad truth that life was not fair. Just as it was a harsh lesson that sometimes luck was a larger factor than skill when it came to victory vs defeat. Living to fight another day or dying far from home. And this day, it seemed their luck had run out.
Grimly Tobirama surveyed the group of Uchiha arrayed against them. Not Madara or Izuna, but Hikaku was not much better. They were outnumbered, and more than that, his men were tired. It had been a long, hard mission but they had succeeded. That the Shinigami now haunted their steps so close to the safety of home was just another reminder that the gods could be cruel. The albino knew his men would fight if he ordered it. He also knew they would die.
He could also order them to scatter, to flee for home. Some of them would make it. Tobirama knew he would likely be among them. Even with the irritation that was his preheat there were few who could match him in speed or strength. But he also knew, a great many of his kin would not make it. Not Airi who was teetering on the verge of chakra exhaustion. Not Kaede whose left ankle was almost certainly broken.
Then there was the third option. The option that would require only a single casualty. Himself. Silently Tobirama apologized to his brother. Fate it seemed, had finally caught up with him. He would not be coming home. Not this time. Quickly his hands flashed through a series of signs, giving his final orders.
Tobirama did not give his kin the chance to protest, triggering a shunshin that took him away from the Senjus’ protective huddle. Taking a position on top of a low hill, the albino let loose an ear splitting whistle. Then, the albino reached up and removed his protective visor, throwing it to the ground before raising his head. Giving everyone the chance to get a good look.
Crimson orbs almost seemed to glow as Tobirama stared at the Uchiha in defiance. Revealing the eyes that the Senju had hidden since the moment their second heir had taken his very first breath. Heart in his throat, Tobirama tried to forget everything he had heard the elders whisper about behind closed doors. Every dark rumor of what happened to those with red eyes.
The standoff seemed to last an eternity, and yet no time at all. It was only broken when Tobirama slid a single foot backwards. Then, he turned and he ran. He did not look back. He did not have to. He knew the Uchiha would follow.
Plunnie - Cycle of miscommunication continues
What if Obi-Wan’s insistence that Anakin is dead was born from the series of meetings with Force Ghost! Anakin during his time on Tatooine. Anakin that looks just like he looked during Clone Wars and doesn't seem to remember his Fall and the Jedi genocide.
Meanwhile, Vader has the series of visions of his old master, that come to him only when he feels more like Anakin Skywalker the Jedi than Darth Vader the Sith. But they can't be true, since Obi-Wan is talking to him during those vision, like he didn't betray all they were standing for in the worst way imaginable.
Can it?
New plunnie: Azula was originally destined to teach Aang.
Why? In the intro we see Pakku (first waterbending teacher), the original design planned for Aang’s earthbending teacher (who was repurposed for Roku’s teacher), and Azula.
This is how plot bunnies propagate.
The Lost Heir
New fic! Aang was still frozen in the ice, but one of his best friends Kuzon Zuko is with him in the ice.
Now that this fic is out I will probably post about head canons I have about it! So I hope you enjoy a 111 year old Fire Lord Azula looking for her brother. Ozai trying to take out the Avatar and thirteen year old uncle who his mother suddenly wants to be next in line for the throne. And 16 year old Prince Azulon who is stuck between his grandmother and his father while his uncle keeps offering him tea.
It is also an example of my fast-nitty-gritty "I will NEVER get through this fic if I try to write EVERYTHING" writing style.

This may have been inspired by ‘Symbol of Subjugation’ in a sideways kind of way. Or it may have just popped into my head as I was driving home. I’m not sure.
Madara strikes me as the type to say/write things in the heat of the moment without thinking them through. Unluckily, or perhaps luckily, for him Tobirama isn’t one to let an opportunity pass him by.
The Good of the Many
Madara stared at Tobirama in disbelief. Yes, he had written that the Uchiha would only accept peace if . . . But he hadn’t meant it. He knew that Hashirama would never sacrifice his younger brother, the only brother the other had left. He had just been trying to get his point through his (ex)friend’s thick skull. “Have,” he paused to lick his lips. “Have you lost your mind?”
“Hardly,” the albino’s face was as impassive as ever. “If my life is what you wish in exchange for peace between our clans then so be it.” Hashirama would grieve, but he would get over it, Tobirama was certain.
“You can’t mean that,” Madara responded, still feeling as though the solid ground beneath his feet had given way without warning. Surely, surely the other wouldn’t just throw his life away like that.
Those brilliant crimson eyes narrowed. “It is simple logic. How many Uchiha and Senju have died since our clans’ feud began?” It was a rhetorical question, there was no way to know. “Even if any peace agreement only lasts for yours and my brother’s lifetimes it would be worth it.”
Personally Tobirama hoped it would last longer. He was not so optimistic as to think his brother’s dreams would come to fruition. But, Madara and Hashirama had put an end to the child killings years ago. In fifteen or twenty years who would truly care if a member of the opposing clan had killed their second cousin once removed. All it would take was a couple generations.
Inhaling sharply Madara straightened his shoulders. “And what is preventing me from killing you right here?” Not that he would. “You are, after all, trespassing.”
Tobirama snorted. “I am not so foolish Uchiha.” He gestured towards his own body. “This is a clone.” The kage bunshin was too chakra intensive a technique to be used on the battlefield. For situations such as this however, it was ideal.
Sneaky Madara is sneaky and changes the wording on their agreement to unconditional surrender. Tobirama notices but doesn’t care. It is all the same right?
Except it is not. When he goes to present himself after Madara’s signed copy is delivered he is surprised to find himself waking up afterwards. Thus begins Tobirama’s life as a political hostage.
Disclaimer: I own nothing and no one
Inspired by gg113 who connected A to B and discovered that Tobirama is obviously a selkie
Why did no one put this together before?
Skinchanger
Izuna inclined his head in acknowledgement to where a small group of Senju had gathered on the other side of the Naka. Things had been oddly quiet between the two clans ever since Hashirama had randomly declared a debt to Madara over a fashion accessory of all things. He still didn’t understand, but whatever. As long as they stayed on their side of the river, he could live with it.
Besides, while Izuna did not trust the Senju as far as he could throw them, he did believe Hashirama and Tobirama were honest in their opinion of child hunters. The last time anyone had disregarded that proclamation they had found themselves beheaded, and not by the other clan either. That did not however mean he was going to take his gaze off his rival for a second. He knew better. The Uchiha tensed as Tobirama frowned; the white-haired man pushing himself off the tree he had been lounging against.
“Izuna,” the Senju called out, gesturing upstream.
A flick of his eyes to the right was all Izuna needed to know what had caught the other’s attention. “Kagami!” he snapped, heart in his throat as he examined the child’s precarious position. “You get down from there right now!”
The curly haired child pouted. “But Izuna-sama.”
“Now!” Izuna insisted taking a step towards his young kinsman. “It’s dangerous.”
“Okay,” Kagami said dejectedly. He had just wanted the clump of yellow flowers growing on that rock for his Mom. “I’m coming.” Standing back up, he began to trot towards shore, surefooted as any young shinobi.
In a perfect word, Kagami would have reached solid ground safely and been swept away by his relieved kin. This was not that world. Instead the log gave way with a sickening crack. Terror filling the young features as Kagami toppled towards the churning water below, barely managing a high pitched shriek before his head vanished under the water.
“Kagami!!!” The only thing that stopped Izuna from following was his cousin’s quick grasp on him.
“Don’t be a fool,” Hikaku said, face pale. This part of the river was called five gorges for a reason. It could swallow even full grown ninja alive.
Izuna’s face twisted in frustration. He wanted to argue, but he knew the other was right. “Downstream,” he ordered pulling himself free. “Quickly.” Out of the corner of his eye he thought he saw a second form hit the water, but he ignored it. It was no business of his.
Izuna quickly outpaced his kin, eyes glowing red with the power of the sharigan as he desperately searched the water. With each passing second becoming more and more sure that if he did find anything, it would be his young cousin’s corpse; and he would be lucky to get that. As everyone knew, the Naka had a reputation for keeping what it took.
Izuna’s heart nearly stopped in his chest as he whipped around the bend of the last gorge. Miraculously, Kagami was on the shore, seemingly alive. But he wasn’t alone. The Uchiha scrambled down the rocks with dangerous haste. Sword singing from his sheath the moment he hit flat ground. There was no way; no way was he going to lose Kagami to a predator after all this.
The seal was big, as big as the leopard seal’s his brother said lived on the shores of Lightning Country. Nearly ten foot of solid muscle and pure white, with a mouthful of wickedly sharp teeth. Teeth that were even now, embedded in the collar of Kagami’s robe. Releasing the child, the seal turned to face Izuna, fangs pulled back in a vicious snarl.
And Izuna, he stopped, starring at those red, red eyes. Eyes that shone with an intelligence far beyond any mere animal. Eyes that Izuna knew as well as his own. “Tobirama,” he whispered in disbelief. The seal did not answer, either with words or otherwise as it slid back into the river and was gone.
Still shaken, Izuna sheathed his sword before crouching down next to his half-drowned kinsman. Yet, even as he checked Kagami over for injuries, he could not help but remember Hashirama’s words. ‘That fur,’ the Senju had said. ‘Is my brother’s heart and soul.’
Now that I think about it, both mythology and fantasy are prompts for Madatobi week
I might have to see if selkie!Tobirama will come swimming back and help me out with that
Hope you enjoyed and go read gg113’s story. It is great.
Warning: Gender Bender
This has been floating around in my head ever since I read Perfect Doll by KingKagura
Anyways, finally got around to putting it down on paper
Union
There was a long moment of silence.
“That,” Izuna said at last. “May be the most ridiculous thing you’ve said to me to date.” This whole peace idea was ridiculous, and the Uchiha was certain it was only a matter of time before it all fell apart. This village was ridiculous. And Tobirama was ridiculous if he actually thought such an idea was feasible.
The albino merely shrugged, seemingly unbothered by the other’s words. “It is the only logical course of action.” Far more logical than Hashirama’s blind belief that everything would just work out.
Scoffing, Izuna turned his head away. “And just where is this mysterious Senju woman you expect to be willing to marry me?”
Tobirama shrugged again, face as impassive as ever. “Butsuma wanted sons for his war,” the words were stated flatly. “A daughter was of no use to him.”
It took the Uchiha a moment to catch on to just what his rival was implying. Izuna straightened in a hurry, gaze snapping back to Tobirama as he ran his eyes up and down the albino’s form in disbelief.
Yes, the Senju had always been slender, even more so without the concealing armor. And perhaps the other’s pale features held a feminine cast, but he just, he hadn’t. “I,” Izuna sputtered. “You.” Finally he managed to get his tongue in some sort of working order.
“Uchiha,” he said. “Only marry for love.”
Sharp red eyes narrowed thoughtfully as the Senju considered that. In truth, Tobirama had no idea how to be seductive, and so did not even bother to try. For better or worse, Tobirama was herself, a warrior, and had no intention of pretending to be otherwise.
“I see,” she murmured. Going against the habits of a lifetime, the albino looked straight into her rival’s dark orbs. “I can promise you loyalty,” Tobirama said evenly. “I can promise you faithfulness. To bear and raise your children.“ It would be nothing less than her duty. She understood that.
“Love . . .” Tobirama’s voice trailed off. What was love anyway? To be perfectly honest, she wasn’t sure she knew.
We will now pause to raise Butsuma from the dead so we can kill him again.
As per usual, if you feel inspired, go for it. Just mention me in the notes and let me know when you post so I can read it. Hope you enjoyed.
