Hello! So, I am questioning if I am plural/a system, and I'm not sure which term I want to use (if I am not a singlet). Is there a difference between them?
Another thing I was wondering was if there were any methods I could try to strengthen communication between myself (host?) and the alters/headmates that are in the innerworld? I've been able to talk with one of them (there are at least 2 maybe 3 total) so far, probably for 5-10 minutes consistently, but then it seemed like communication was just blocked? And I got to know his name, so I tried calling for him, but it didn't work. Since then I haven't been able to talk with him for any longer than a few word exchanges. Do you (or anyone else) have any idea if this is a communication issue or perhaps something else?
As far as I am aware (and that I've been able to find)
Plural, System and Multiple all have roughly the same meaning and is up to the individual system to decide which the feel most comfortable with.
The only thing that may impact this is that the term System does have medical roots.
We ourselves identify as a Plural System which is another option you have available
As for communication, what we found worked the best for us was writing notes down, we used discord and PluralKit (a system bot that allows each individual member to show as themselves in a message) to hold conversations.
We also have system friends who have recommended looking at parogenic system resources for communication (also known as tulpa systems or tulpamancy).
If any one else has some more suggestions reblog and say or send an ask with it and we shall reblog this post with your suggestion.
