SUNDAYS/cool just debuted +Aziz's Men in Power, a country-inspired song with...beat-boxing? The lyrics were written while he was traveling through Texas and is laced with metaphors that recognize how the oil industry is not just the main economic artery of the Arabian Peninsula, but also Southern American states like Louisiana and Texas. +Aziz is always combining his Khaliji and American musical styles but the beat-boxing is a new venture for him. Luckily, Krussia crushes it.

I developed a performance installation for Bustin Out Productions' Heaven/Hell Halloween Party | The idea is to create an intimate & quiet space within a chaotic context using headphones; people in the room could hear my naked voice, but once they put on the headphone, they would hear my guitar playing and ethereal filters on my vocals | I invited folks to sit down, listen to a song, and then (as a thank you) I gave them a USB with my SoHo Spirit album for free.

One aspect that surprised me was that many people were eager to either play me a song or join in my singing to my guitar playing | Being new to New Orleans, it is critical that I absorb what local musicians and artists are already doing | Glad that my installation facilitated such interactions | The Marigny, New Orleans 2014
