Ted. A friend. A bear. Real.
Hello friends it’s me. Duchess, or Laura as my parents called me on my birth certificate, and I’m here today with a proposal.
What proposal? Well first let me introduce someone to you. The fine gentleman pictured below is Ted. Ted Toodles.
Ted is my oldest friend in the world and has been the most loved man in my life for a very long time. As you can see that sort of love begins to show so I thought that perhaps Ted might benefit from a trip to see @doctorbeth and the other patients in her Hospital.
As I’m sure most of you agree when you’ve loved someone like Ted for so long no matter who they are they become real, as our mutual friend the velveteen rabbit has shown and that realness can hurt.
Ted has been through the wars a few times, he’s unfortunately gone through the washing machine, has his ears come off which is why they’re a little lopsided after my mum did her very best to stitch him back up with me waiting and wailing in the background. He’s got a little run in his stomach too which again my mum has tried to patch up but didn’t always go according to plan and we’re fairly certain that to this day there are some sewing needles stuck in Ted somewhere. You’ll also notice his fashionable orange nail polish which I decided at age six that he should wear.
So what’s the point of all this? Well, as I mentioned Ted might be going to visit Doctor Beth in California. Now California is a long way away from where Ted and I live and Doctor Beth isn’t just a stuffed friend saint, she’s a doctor and doctors have to be paid which brings me to this. I’m crowdfunding for Ted to go to Doctor Beth for some TLC, we’re both going to be 30 this year and he deserves it.
If you could donate or indeed pass this post on I would be eternally grateful. I am of course donating my own money to the cause but I simply don’t have enough which is the problem here. Yes I work full time but I have around £258 in bills to pay every month plus my travel expenses to and from work (that’s a whole other story that you can find here) so please. For me. For Ted. For all the friends that have shared our bed, been with us through thick and thin. Help me finance a trip to Doctor Beth.
