So I was watching Trusova's wedding pics on Instagram and it looks like Plushenko was involved a lot in it so what's up with that? I know some of the former champions work with him in shows, but Trusova left him and then went back? Curious if she is planning to continue with Plushenko as coach too.

This is ridiculous. Perhaps she had made her decision a couple of month’s ago but had not yet approached Plushenko until the early part of July.

Regardless, the decision has been made and it is time to move on from the “he said, she said” narrative.

Growing up i always loved ice skating ,found this sport so artistic ,classy ,emotional but i never was a real fan ,i mean i didn't know the rules well neither the skaters ,yuri on ice was the reason i became a fan of this sport !

After yoi ,i remember watching vidéos on YouTube on pair skating i became a big fan of gabriella and guillaume cizeron ,than hanyu watched his performance in sochi 2014 ,and plushenko team event n his old programs ,it was an interesting ride to understand this sport more .

2018 winter olympics first ice skating event i watched live "online lol " , i was so happy he won again what a legend ! Since then i try to not skip any ice skating event !

Alina zagitova also caught my attention since then she is my fav .

So this is just an appreciation post to one of my fav athletes ever (next to plushenko and rafael nadal "am a huge tennis fan my fav sport ")

PS:lets not forget he is the reason that yuri on ice happened , the project was planned since 2010 but because ice skating wasn't a famous sport in japan, it wasn't accepted by any studio ,yuzuru winning gold in sochi made ice skating popular in japan ,and yoi was given a chance to happen !

Russian Nationals 2018

Vladimir Samoilov performed my favorite routine of the short program. He trains with Evgeni Plushenko’s group, Angels of Plushenko. He rocked it, his quad salchow was one of the best I have ever seen - super flighty and well landed. His triple axel and triple triple combination were very good as well. He’s a promising talent and yet Plushenko was a no show. He’s currently in sixth place and that’s because he’s a junior and because the PCS marks are inflated for seniors.

The most memorable part of his skate wasn’t his jumps but his almost Julia Lipnitskaia final spin. He does a move I have never seen a man try as good as he. It’s a fully extended move and I would give him a +3 for it.
