random #rxmxa astro observations pt. 16
part 15 here. 🎬
we often see saturn as this mean old man, like, “how many times do i have to teach you this lesson? go get the belt!” but in mythology, the god saturn is the equivalent of kronos... the mf who ate his kids. saturn will take you out. literally, it will end your life. saturn rules limitations, boundaries, and the end of life’s cycles. it represents our physical mortality.
saturn in pisces, in my 1st house, beat my ass. it got to a point (i mean, obviously, there were other things in my chart going on), but long story short: i literally almost died when saturn first entered my 1h. i kept hanging out with shady people i thought were my friends. we ended up in a horrible accident, after i said i was doneee with them and still kept going out to party. me and my friend (who i invited and wasn’t even part of that group) were the ONLY ONES with injuries. I LIVED TO TELL THE TALEEEE!!!
and you know, obviously, when something is transiting your chart, it’s not like what it represents happens immediately. it’s a slow culmination. there was a lesson i was gonna learn anyway, about how i show up in the world (1h), and how i commit to my boundaries and responsibilities (saturn), based on how prepared i was. and clearly? i was not prepared. which is okay too. because after that, i really learned that shit is not a fucking game. i mean, i owned up to it. i worked on it. and so on and so forth, you get the gist.
here’s another saturn example: let’s say saturn’s about to transit your 2h. it’s not like, “oh shit, i’m about to be broke!” naur, if you’ve already been working on your budgeting, thinking about your relationship with money, etc., saturn can test you but not terrify you. in short, you can prepare yourself. but also i’m not gonna lie. i do not be checking my transits like that. i just raw dog life and then shit happens and i look at my chart like, “okay, well… that makes sense.” lol. we all learn in different ways. if you scrape your knee once in a while, it’s okay. standddd up! STANNNUP!
i was watching this interview with actress leah jeffries (from the pjo series), and she was talking about her experience in brazil, how fans were literally chanting her name over and over. and like yeah she’s famous, so that’s not out the box but the intensity of it was on another level compared to other places. it left her so shook. and i’m like, damn, she must definitely be on her venus or sun lines there!! she even got told in an interview that brazilians call her “the people’s princess.” c’mon… if that’s not venus-coded...
astrocartography is cool to look at. i live on my pluto/mars line and my fucking life here is like that spongebob meme, all like, "i was born with glass bones and paper skin. every morning i break my legs, and every afternoon i break my arms. at night, i lie awake in agony until my heart attacks put me to sleep." like bitch, i can never catch a mf break (lol cue the insane ass accidents).
and then whenever i go back to visit my mom’s side of the family in the caribbean (cries), i’m on my sun and venus line and i literally feel sooo loved. bitch, i feel like a princess too. eating mangos on the beach. my skin is glowing. i get so much more positive attention. ughhh it’s chef’s kiss.
also with astrocartography, you gotta think about how a line activates in your chart. like, it’s not just “go to your venus line and everything is cute and romantic” naur, it’s about what that planet means for you. for example, someone with mars in the 10th house might actually thrive on a mars line. it could light up their ambition, push their career forward, make them more visible or assertive in the public eye. same goes for someone with easy or supportive mars aspects, like a trine to the sun or jupiter. mars energy might actually give them that boost they need.
but my chart already has placements or aspects that suggest tension or conflict in daily life, so when i’m living on a mars and pluto line... it’s not cute. like that energy is already baked into my chart, and being on these lines just intensifies it. so instead of mars being helpful or energizing, it becomes draining, confrontational, even dangerous sometimes.
so yeah, the line itself isn’t good or bad. it's about how it interacts with the rest of your chart. what’s the condition of that planet natally? what house is it in? what aspects is it making? astrocartography isn't one size fits all. the same line can be a blessing for one person and just a disaster for another.
i’ve been thinking about how astrocartography might affect how your energy shows up on social media too. like, depending on what planetary lines you’re living on, you might feel more or less comfortable being visible, posting yourself, or sharing things publicly.
for example, if you’re living on a line that brings heavier or more intense energy, like saturn or pluto, you might feel more self-conscious online, or just less willing to put yourself out there (no public social media, rarely posting, overthinking your posts, feeling unsafe being vulnerable). it might feel like people are judging you more, or like you don’t want to be seen. but if you were on a venus or sun line, you might feel way more confident, attractive, or magnetic so posting, sharing, or being vulnerable would feel natural.
it also depends on your personality. like, someone who’s more introverted might suddenly feel more expressive or open on certain lines, while someone who’s normally outgoing might feel like pulling back on others. maybe on a moon line, you feel more emotional and reflective, so you’re more careful with what you share. or maybe it makes you feel more emotionally safe, so you're more willing to open up. either way, where you are in the world can shift how comfortable you feel being seen. that includes how you show up online, not just in real life. ok anyhoomst
cancer placements are interesting because they can either be the baby or the mommy/daddy sometimes both at once. it really depends on the planet and the house. like, cancer risings? definitely more mom or dad coded. probably because they have capricorn on the 7h, so there’s this natural push-pull between needing care and being the caretaker. it’s like people project responsibility and emotional steadiness onto them even when they’re lowkey just tryna survive.
cancer venus? omg, it’s such a sweetheart placement. like “america’s sweetheart” fr. zendaya has it, and look how loved she is (venus) in her home country (cancer). i rarely see hate for zendaya. she gets her flowers!! as she should!!
cancer sun, on the other hand, leans more toward baby energy, but again, it depends on the house and aspects. one of my old roommates was a cancer sun. this girl was literally the oldest and tallest in the apartment, but we treated her like our baby. one time she got sick and we rushed her to the hospital like worried parents. it just depends.
I saw a reel about millie bobby brown being rejected from auditions when she was younger. there’s no specific confirmation that it was a disney role she missed out on, only that a casting director told her she was “too mature” at age 10. that comment almost made her quit acting altogether, but not long after, she was seen as perfect for stranger things.
and it’s so interesting because she has a sun–uranus conjunction. i always find sun–uranus aspects especially fascinating in kids, because adults tend to be really strict about how children are “supposed” to behave. anything outside of that makes them uncomfortable, even scared. i can literally imagine this casting director being kind of shook, because who she was (sun) felt jarring and disruptive (uranus). that man really said SECURITYYYYY!! plsssss
uranus isn’t always just “oh you’re quirky and dress cool and different.” that energy can also be deeply ostracizing. it’s giving the bullies in movies all like "EWWW GUYS GET AWAY SHES A FREAKKKK!” LMFAOO... which is wild, because her character in the show is literally the outcast. and on top of that, she’s a pisces sun (which is all about blurring lines, acting, being wired differently, spiritual depth). so it probably didn’t take much work for her to play eleven.
I feel that can also be a factor as to why she gets sooo much backlash no matter what she does like getting married young, adopting, having 32040349 animals bc no matter what the world is going to be shocked (uranus) by who she is and her choices (sun).
sza mentioned in an interview (can u tell i spent a long ass time watching shit on youtube) that the songs she wrote the quickest like “palate cleansers,” the ones she didn’t overthink, ended up being the most popular. and that’s so 5h/11h coded. when you create from joy (5h) and not pressure, not only does it feel good, but it actually lands well with the public (11h). i think a lot of people forget that energy is loud. people can feel when something is authentic!! even if it was simple or done fast.
same with jupiter energy. like... jupiterians really do get opportunities that feel out of nowhere or “undeserved.” sometimes i catch myself being delulu, like “idk guys, i just think it’s gonna work out” *puts hair behind ears* and my saturnian friends are like “oh brother. shut UP.” but guess what? it does work out for me. every single time!! i know how wild that sounds to someone with a cap stellium or heavy saturn placements but that’s the difference in worldview.
actually, that reminds me of a moment i had with my cousin. her chart is basically all aquarius and capricorn. i was telling her about this idea i had and how i wanted to leave my draining horrible ass job to pursue it, and she meant well, but her reaction BLEWWW MEE. she was like, “no, don’t do it thats not smart. the job market is horrible right now. u havent tried enough things to see if it can work out at ur current job blah blah u been there 3 years what if u cant find anything as quickly" . like don't put ur fear on me girl!!
which, again, is valid. i get it. it came from care. but we just see the world differently and its colored by our ascendant and our chart rulers. it’s not my job to convince her, and it’s not her job to convince me. i took that leap anyway. i bet on myself, left the job, and now i’m in a new role that feels so much better. even if it was scary and uncertain at first, i don’t regret it.
but yeah, maybe that same move wouldn’t have worked for her. like yes maybe it is a bad idea... FOR YOU PRIMA 🫵 with her chart, she probably does better when she plans every detail. and honestly? that’s fine. what works for me might not work for someone else, especially depending on their planetary makeup.
i always say, with sagittarius and pisces placements or even just strong jupiter energy the more you try to plan things to the T, the worse it can go. sometimes you just have to trust the vision, trust the gut, and jump. i apply that to mutable/jupiterian energy in general. but hey, that’s just the opinion of little ol’ me. do what u want girl. take what resonates.
