We have another layer of introspection and releasing starting today that will last the rest of the year. Back in January, Pluto entered Aquarius. You almost forgot about this big event huh? Now Pluto will start to retrograde yet again today through Aquarius and then do its final stint through Capricorn starting in October. It will have us do a recap of everything that’s occurred this year and the end of last year. This energy will affect us all but will be stronger felt by you guessed it, Capricorn and Aquarius placements. Check to see where those two signs are in your chart to see how it will affect you and what’s being reinvented in your life. We’ll see really big changes on the world’s stage more than anything else with this retrograde but any personal planets in those signs for you are highly affected as well.

What to do during Retrograde Pluto?

People always talk about what not to do — but retrogrades aren't just “No Entry” signs. They're also big glowing doorways labeled Transformation, Baby.

So what even is Pluto? Astronomically, it’s not even a planet anymore. Astrologically, opinions vary — traditionalists treat it more like a fixed star: only relevant in conjunctions. But let’s not start sobbing just yet.

Pluto is scale. Pluto is exaggeration. Pluto is über-everything. The Pluto Retrograde is happening today. This transit makes me think of the Tower in Tarot and it was one of the cards that appeared in one of my readings today. A reminder that change was inevitable even if we stayed in place. The Tower is an unexpected change to make way for something greater and better. Mercury Retrograde has made other planetary Retrograde periods a bit of a taboo topic but I usually embrace the Pluto Retrograde transit because it really does tear you down and lifts you at the end. You are presented with the possibility of change and depending on how receptive you are to it, this will impact you positively or negatively. Either way, change is good and as hard as that might be to say out loud it is the truth. Pluto will remove things in your path that are no longer serving you. Usually this translates to changes in ideology. Your goals will change as a result of this transit, you might physically change or emotionally change. Pluto is about power and control, how willing are we when it comes to reclaiming our power? Do not give that power away and learn to find a balance if you tend to be overbearing. Pluto humbles us, opens our eyes and teaches us our limits. Remember to keep going, be strong and reclaim your power during this transit which ends in October. We might feel hope diminishing but a change in attitude, having hope can definitely make a difference.
