Why have I been on a DeBarge kick lately? "Time Will Reveal", "A Dream", "I Like It", "Stay With Me", "All This Love" all these songs keep popping up in my head for the past few days. I'm not a Debarge fan like that. They were a little before my time. Usually when I feel the urge to listen to a particular song or artist over a long period of days, someone's trying to talk to me. So I get some quiet time, put on some DeBarge, and really meditate on this. Guess who shows up in my third eye? My grandfather playing a guitar. We had a good conversation. Talked about my dad, the spiritual significance of DNA, our families, alternate timelines and parallel universes like the one where he became a Joe Jackson type of father, trying to make his kids be the next Jackson 5 and I was never born as a result. Yeah, apparently my relatives are doing some deep ass metaphysical studying and learning on the Other Side cuz I would have NEVER EVER had this type of conversation with my grandfather while he was living over on this side of existence. Maybe I'll make a more in depth video about what we talked about one day? Who knows? Long story short, he reminded me of something I was told long ago and gave me some perspective about a decision I am struggling with. He told me, "I like music. Your dad likes music. You do too. And so will your daughter." I'm like, "My daughter? You do know what kind of cards are in my hand right?" He said, "Yes. You're gonna be fine. Have faith."
