➰My Gang➰ • Happy Sunday, friends! Did everyone have a great weekend and holiday? I know I did. • Although Thanksgiving was amazing, I’m here to chat about my Small Business Saturday! Yesterday was such a fun day filled with laughter, networking, purchases, and of course coffee with a side of yarn. Throughout the day we visit many small businesses. As you can guess my favorite stop was the #localyarnshop, @plyfiberarts. I stopped there twice actually! Haha. Even though I wanted to empty my bank account in there, I held it together with only one skein! Can you believe it? Haha. Neither can I! • I met so many owners and talented makers/artists yesterday. It warmed my heart to almost boiling point and it’s then that I truly realized who my gang is. They are the creative, hard working, kind, daydreaming, goal reaching, passionate makers and small business owners. Small Business Saturday was our day and I felt all the love, positivity, and passion behind all the hard work. It makes me proud to be a small business owner and supporter. • So, if you haven’t shopped small yet this season get out there and make a dream come true. Day 7 (#latergram edition) . . . . Got up early and got on the road to Richmond. Visiting my old Indiana home. Misty mornings through the hills, opening to flat soybeans and corn on either side of me. Breakfast at the usual haunt (although renamed). Hair game on point. First time on campus in three plus years. Last day I was faculty at EC was my last stroll across campus. Surprised more people on campus than I could count. Got a good dose of amazing hugs. Knew the scoop within 5mins of being on campus. (As always) Avoided my former department like a champ. Went yarn shopping and got to relax and see more people I love. Got more hugs and cuddles with fur babies. Dinner with two amazing men, taking and catching up, shutting the restaurant down.
