plyma lifeguard au

plaxum is a lifeguard at the local pool

she kind of hates her job bc its hot and boring and she doesnt like her boss

one day during the summer nyma comes to the pool with a group of friends and plaxum cant take her eyes off of her

nyma totally notices and keeps smiling and winking at her

and plaxum almost falls off her lifeguard chair thing

eventually nyma comes over to talk to her after like an hour of trying to flirt from across the pool

they have a kind of awkward start to the conversation

nyma: hey… u ever saved anyone before? because im dying of boredom and i could really use some rescuing

plaxum: uh– um– what?

nyma: that was kinda embarrassing please forget i said that

eventually it becomes a little bit more normal

plaxum is really bad at talking to pretty girls and just kind of says whatever she thinks

but nyma keeps laughing and telling her shes cute

and her heart is beating really fast

and she wants nyma to laugh more so she tells her anything and everything

even her conspiracy theories

plaxum: so like, my boss, miss luxia, im pretty sure she’s secretly a lizard person trying to take over the government and heres why

plaxum, 30 minutes later: and yea basically working here is rly the equivalent of hell and the lizard people are coming for me

nyma: holy shit dude… we need to come up with a plan to fight back

and then plaxum is smiling so big bc nyma seems genuinely interested in everything she says

but it gets late really fast

and nymas friends are getting ready to leave

before she goes nyma grabs her bag and runs back over to plaxum and asks for her number

the first thing she texts her is “hey its nyma from the pool :p maybe we can discuss the lizard people more over coffee on saturday?”

and its an offer plaxum just cant refuse

hm, honestly it’s a bit hard to make me laugh? you need yo have a very specific sense of humor for me to find it funny gsjhfgjks so like. in general i always laugh when listening to mbmbam, but i have a couple friends who make me laugh all the time (also when i’m tired everything is funny to me fjdg)

unique: what qualities do you look for in other people?

i need to be able to trust people. if i know someone isn’t very loyal/ they go around telling everyone everything, i immediately don’t want to talk to you. i also try to look out for generally positive/optimistic people because i’ve been too negative in the past and now i can’t stand people who are overtly negative all the time.(especially since they usually tell me to tune it down or stop being so happy all the time which is. not healthy oof)
