“Yeah, I think so too,” he agreed, nodding even as he guiltily watched the pair until they were out of sight before glancing sideways at Nikolai with an unsure laugh. “Hopefully he learned a lesson. I can never understand why kids are so rude to their parents sometimes.” Part of that had to do with his own personality being so docile, but another part was probably because Sungmin wished he still had parents to back talk to in the first place. “I don’t think I was ever too bad, but it’s been so many years. I’m too old to remember now.” He scrunched up his nose at the thought.

☆ -- Scream. Howling. Scratching. Begging. It had always been the same thing with similar actions once the half vampire found the perpetrators for Ayame’s wounds. It wasn’t often that Ayame came home severely wounded. This time, it threw Minwoo in rage -- almost hatred toward humans even though he was part human himself. The girl came home with an open lip, bruises on her stomach from being kicked and her hair shredded in such a cruel manner that he had to do something for the girl he cared for. Minwoo had always been like a father to Ayame and Ayame like a daughter to Minwoo. 

With lithe fingers curling around the male’s neck, he snarled with a hiss following after lifting them off the ground as sounds of crunching and gagging filled the rooftop. The image of Ayame’s beaten face and the words she repeated that the bag of scum had claimed her to be for being a transgender filled Minwoo with such immense hatred, the vampire crushed the other throat regardless of the gagging while they begged. Tossing the male to the cracked pavement, he glowered at the other two men without realizing someone had been watching silently. Lifting the second man, Minwoo without hesitating snapped their neck in half not even daring to drain them -- not wanting to taint himself with such garbage. 

“Are these your men?” He snarled as he threw the second male on top of the first one which laid lifeless, catching sight of the third male crawling away until the half vampire made his way to them in a split second and lifted them by their collar, eyes falling on the tall, slim watching with arms crossed in front of their chest.

He laughed. “I got you to speak, no?” He moved to his right to get away from her raised hand.

She shook her head. “Ani, no, you are not funny. Why are you asking people for money, loser?” Hallel inquired.

You cause a lot of trouble sometimes, but I do love having you around even when you do. It’s fun having you around me, and I promise to not tell your sister about the things you do when you’re with me. Wouldn’t want her killing you now, would we? Make sure to stay in school and listen well. Come to noona if you want to hang out, or just have some fun. I know things have been really hard for you, but I always will have your back. I promise.
