       when the woman walked off, he waved towards their group of friends a little down the sidewalk, which left them giggling and just calvin smile cheekily and let an arm go around his friend’s shoulder, humming softly. ❝ i suppose so.. it is definitely more positively than ugly; and with the shy smile and blush she was wearing, then i’d be saying she was totally into you, sungmin. ❞ the male nodded a couple of times, looking down at the note she had given him, a phone number written across it which left him smiling widely like a complete dork.

Sungmin couldn’t help but lean into the half-embrace in his confused state, comforted by his friend’s presence because had he been alone he probably wouldn’t have been able to manage as much as he’d said. He chuckled in response to that comment, nodding to show his agreement. “Yeah, you’re right. B-But she... This is just weird,” he admitted, continuing with slightly widened eyes a moment afterward. “Ah- Not that I didn’t appreciate it or anything but... I’m not the type that sort of thing happens to, you know?” His fingers played with the note absently, gaze flickering down toward it before it lifted to Calvin again.

   ●  ●  ●   the younger took a deep breath once again and tried pulling the blankets up to cover more of him —— failing, though. he could only pull it until it cover sungmin’s shoulders, but didn’t mind it at all. the hand which was stroking his hair slid down until rest on the elder’s nape, gently brushing his fingers onto his skin and still in his hair.                he hummed quietly and nodded a few times, a warm smile spreading across his lips when listened to his words about the dream, ❝ It sounds so nice. ❞ ryan mumbled with a soft tone of voice, pouting slightly for a brief moment. ❝ I rarely remember of my dreams, sadly. ❞

He noticed the action though he couldn’t exactly see it, and there was a curious, gently concerned tone to his voice as he questioned, “Are you cold? Am I not a good enough heater?” It was, mostly, a joke, an amused glimmer in his gaze as he spoke. “If I ever find a real place like that, I’ll take you with me. It seemed a little lonely anyway.” It was a rather light promise, but it didn’t mean that Sungmin wasn’t as determined to keep it. He was certain that experiences like that were so much more enjoyable and meaningful when you were with someone precious to you. 

Brows knitting together, a slight crease appeared on his forehead as he idly drew shapes on Ryan's chest with the tip of his index finger. “Really? That’s such a shame... Your dreams are so mysterious. They could be about anything and you’d never know.” Dreams were always mysterious in a way, because they held so many different meanings that were difficult to decipher after all. At least, that was what Sungmin believed. "What would you dream about, if you could choose?"

Nikolai for sure was being a hypocrite. Back when his parents were alive he talked back to them quite a bit, he even fought with his dad and did whatever he wanted. He wasn’t the nicest person back then, and now he was sitting there reflecting upon his own actions. He didn’t want to take it back either though. “Even so, we are in the present now. If we are being polite and whatnot now, I’m sure it will make up for the times we possibly did talk back to our parents. I sure use my manners now.” He chuckled.

“Sometimes you don’t get the chance,” he murmured, almost to himself though it could definitely be heard by the other if he were listening. Sungmin grew quiet for a few moments, as if lost in his thoughts, before he shook his head slightly and seemed to come back to himself. “Y-You’re right, though. Even if you did bad things in the past I don’t think that’s reason to say you can’t change or can’t make up for them.” Even with the slight wavering in his voice, he sounded rather sure of his opinion. “I don’t like thinking that people can’t be forgiven for their mistakes.”

As Vincent leaned against the bar, Nothing sit back on the stool, guessing he could somehow use a chat with the male. Maybe more. He scrunched his nose ever so slightly, licking the remainding taste of alcohol on his lips. Why would Vincent even care with who Nothing spent his time? 

‘’ Not today. Yet you found me. ‘’ Nothing lifted an eyebrow, glancing at the male before slightly leaning closer. ‘’ I could waste some time on you now. ‘’ He pushed his glass away a bit; half expecting Vincent to pay him a drink or propose him to do something else.

Vincent wasn’t too pleased by such a short answer, but it was completely expected from the other man. Lengthy conversations weren’t what occurred between them much at all, and he’d long since gotten accustomed to it even if he did like talking. His eyes narrowed slightly. “But if it’s such a waste then I shouldn’t burden you with it then, should I?” His tone was laced with a sense of sarcasm, and there was a slightly malicious edge to the grin that appeared on his lips. It wasn’t pleasant, it was more dangerous in his slight annoyance.

He leaned over, following Nothing’s move to lessen the proximity between them, and tilted his head so he could speak closer to his ear. “What should it be then? Should we get drunk? Mess around? Maybe I should suck you off in the middle of the club?” And there was laughter at that, rough in the back of his throat. Vincent wasn’t necessarily agreeing to anything, but making such vulgar suggestions was fun.

No matter the length of time Zacharie spent staring at him, Vincent didn’t look way, patiently awaiting an answer before the serious response had the beginnings of a grin growing on his lips. He tried to sober his expression, feigning great disappointment. “Ah, a shame. Who knows, it could have been a big hit.”

Bobbing his head slightly to the music, Taeyang turned his head to look at his friend Sungmin who was currently occupying his second headphone. “Are you okay with this type of music? I know you usually prefer soft piano kind of stuff but I’m too frustrated to listen to that.” He explained when he saw the other look as though he wasn’t enjoying the noise as much as he was.

It took Sungmin a moment before he realized he was being spoken to, his scrunched up features instantly relaxing into a more sheepish expression. “Oh! No, it’s fine! W-Was I making a weird face?” There was a laugh, at himself mostly, and then he shook his head quickly. “I’m just not used to this kind of music, but that’s not a bad thing!” He thought back on what Taeyang had said, and then questioned, gently, “Is this what you listen to when you’re in a bad mood?”

If Jaejoong could smile any happier right now, despite his weariness, then the man sitting down opposite him is the catalyst for it. Even if his lips are at their maximum expression, a pleased and content happiness sparkles in the tired eyes Jaejoong has gazing at his coffee-bringer. 

He’s still slumped half over the table top, still all loose limbs like they’re lacking some of the key bones for keeping them strong right now, despite how bony he actually is in appearance in some ways. To test the other man’s theory, Jaejoong picks that moment to take a sip of the coffee. The sip turns into a long draw of the hot liquid then, his eyes closing like he’s entered some realm of bliss for the moment, like he’s forgotten he’s in public as his face goes all pleasured just from a coffee. He lets out a breath while opening his eyes, and bringing himself back to earth, back to the cafe table he’s at. The point that its good is probably proven. 

“Definitely a coffee angel~” he says in a quiet but playful hum, mouth all smiling like a sunbathing cat again. He spends a moment just looking at this prospective new pal, not for judgement purposes really, just that sometimes Jaejoong likes to look at people, get a glimpse of any quirks they have.

“If you want to go along how you’re saying it though then, if yours is good too, then the one who made it can be your angel. And we call all just be each other’s angels today?”

The words might be nonsense to a lot of people, but its Jaejoong’s mind in the works here, so this is the typical thing to expect out of his head that’s usually filled with daydreams and art more than customs of socialization.

The stranger’s antics and seemingly boneless behaviour is amusing, especially when he looks so absolutely pleased by such a simple thing as the cup of coffee. Sungmin can’t help the laugh that bubbles out of him, and, self-conscious, he raises a hand to hover it in front of his mouth, hiding his widening smile from view. Under that gaze, he only manages to become more aware of himself, because while it doesn’t make him uncomfortable, per se, such attention isn’t something he’s used to from people who aren’t close friends.

Though, really, the man across from him has been surprising and unusual in his actions thus far so maybe he shouldn’t be expecting what he normally does out of such casual encounters.

“I’m not sure if I follow exactly but... it sounds nice.” His reaction seems lame in comparison, and as if realizing as much he’s quick to add, “I really meant that, I’m not just saying it to agree..!” He bites at his lower lip, worrying at the delicate skin with his teeth as he returns his hands to playing with his own cup of coffee before he decides to lift it up to his mouth. A simple sip is all he manages before he pulls it away, brow creasing as he mumbles a forlorn, “It’s really hot...”

 — There were few souls that Junmyeon disclosed his true identity to; he had his reasons, it was for protection, not solely for himself, but for other’s as well. It was better for him to be known as a mere human himself, a mortal. It gave him the chance to live a life as he had planned nearly over eight hundred years ago. Just with the factor he would still carry on, the blissfully ignorant thought of the idea brought him some inner peace. But when it had come to revealing himself to Sungmin, he had done so because of just how comfortable and safe he felt with the other male, he trusted them highly and that was something he could not foresee changing under any circumstance. It was true that they were special to him. ❝ Well look at you, being thoughtful and sweet as always. It’s nice to see you remembered my love for fresh fruits. ❞ he chuckled softly as he gave his friend a bright smile, placing down a book in his hands as he straightened himself up before shaking his head.  ❝ Ah, I’m not busy at all. You know me, I’m either too lazy to do anything or I’m a busy body. ❞ he joked lightly, offering out his arms to the other.  ❝ Besides, I always have time for you. ❞

He did his best to understand the other’s situation, how important it was to keep it hidden from most everyone, and though he probably would never fully empathize, he could at least sympathize, and the trust being told such a secret entrusted in him was something Sungmin didn’t, and would never, take lightly. He beamed under the praise, a smile radiant on his lips as he was drawn in by Junmyeon like a flower to the sun, responding with a cheerful, “Of course I remembered! And I guess I can never say anything about you being lazy when I’m the same way, huh?”

Placing the container down onto the nearest flat, empty surface, he all too easily stepped forward into the other man’s arms, his own encircling Junmyeon’s middle as he bowed his head against one of his shoulders. At his side was a safe, always welcoming place, and maybe he was a little too attached to it but Sungmin couldn’t help himself. “You might make your other customers jealous talking like that,” he murmured, a semblance of teasing in his tone that was gentle, amused.

“There is nothing to eat..” She spoke to herself as she stared at her empty refrigerator. Sighing, she picked up her purse, and keys; driving her way to the nearest grocery store. Wearing jeans, a plain grey v-neck shirt along with a black jacket with a hood to cover over her head, the actress also had her big rimmed glasses though it wasn’t hard to recognize her entering the building. Some people greeted her, the workers mostly as she grabbed a cart and began to walk around the aisles. Looking down at the fresh vegetables, she chose wisely on which was more fresh than the other, bypassing some she thought didn’t look good. Not looking where she was driving her cart, she hadn’t realized there was someone who had paused to taste some food left out for others to test their new products, colliding into them.

Her eyes widened as she looked up to see a male with the same expression on her face. Bowing her head, she bit her lip nervously. “I’m sorry, are you okay? Nothing fell out and you’re not injured right?” Noticing the other was only holding a basket, while she had a huge cart. Hoping she didn’t hurt the other at all.

Living with his aunt had had its perks; she usually always made sure that there was food in the house for him even if she wasn’t around most days out of the week. Now that he no longer lived with her, Sungmin had to become used to buying his own groceries, and with a distinct lack of any culinary skills it was obviously difficult for him to know exactly what to buy (and then what to do with said ingredients once he had them). Thus he’d been shopping for... quite a lot longer than was probably necessary, unable to decide on what to get.

The sound of his stomach grumbling had him veering towards a samples stand, and he was about to take one when there was suddenly something colliding into him, making him yelp and stumble back a few steps. His wide, confused eyes took in the scene, understanding that they’d bumped into each other, but it took him a moment to respond, distracted as his gaze fixated on the stranger’s face.

There was a bright flush in his cheeks that only grew as time went on and recognition hit him much like that cart had, and Sungmin scrambled to pick up the couple of boxes of frozen, pre-made dinners that had fallen from his basket. “I-I’m so sorry-” He was so used to apologizing that it came naturally, automatically, before he even registered the woman’s words - it didn’t help that he knew who she was at all, it only made him feel worse for causing such an incident. “I’m okay! Completely okay. I don’t think anything’s damaged s-so there’s nothing to worry about, miss. What about you? You're not hurt, are you?”

Noting the sudden crowd of unfamiliar people before her, she ran her hands through her hair a small attempt of hoping to make herself more presentable. Throat dry and heart beating at a fast peace the she took in a deep breath wanting to approach someone first for once. ‘’H-Hello?’’ she silently cleared her throat giving a small wave followed with a slight smile.’’ I–I hope I’m not bothering you or anything, I’ve just wanted to m-meet someone new honestly, making new friendships..’’

It wasn’t hard to pinpoint someone who was nervous in a crowd, not for Vincent; it was much the same as finding someone who exuded confidence to him, perhaps because he so often gravitated towards those types. “You’re absolutely bothering me with that cute voice of yours and that shy princess act,” he responded at first, expression feigning seriousness before there was a glimmer of amusement in his eyes and he shook his head. “You should speak up or no one’ll hear you, and that won’t do for your attempts at finding friendships, now will it?”

   ●  ●  ●   flashing a warm and satisfied smile after what the other had said, ryan brought his right hand up to cup his cheek, looking down at his lips once again before tilting his head, brushing his thumb against his skin. ❝ I’m glad, ❞ he said in a whisper, leaning in to press his rosy lips against the elder’s, taking a deep breath as he did so, his left hand making its way upwards so both of his hands were placed on sungmin’s cheeks while kissing him gently.

Flashbacks assaulted him against his wishes - tenth grade when he’d kissed the girl he’d liked, only on the cheek because he’d been too shy to attempt it anywhere else, only to have things become awkward between them; twelfth grade when his friends had coerced him into trying to kiss one of the popular kids who had denied him faster than he could blink. Those hadn’t been among his happier memories, but this was decidedly different, and he realized that when the warmth of Ryan’s palms on his cheeks, lips against his own, brought him back to the moment at hand.

This was a choice he’d made, something he’d asked for, something that was reciprocated, and the fact that it was this precious friend of his made his nervousness dull, his focus gladly on feeling rather than thinking. It took him a few moments, and if he were thinking he’d hope that Ryan wasn’t taking that the wrong way, but when he responded it was with care, lips parting to press closer against the other’s as his eyes slowly closed once keeping them open was too uncomfortable at that proximity. Sungmin’s free hand lifted to hold his friend’s bicep, the one on his hip curling, fingers bunching in clothing as his hold grew more firm.

It`s pretty– No. It`s hella difficult so I think I might say the same to others who would try.” He pressed his lips together and let out a sigh. “I don`t even know how this would apply in real life. You won`t head to the supermarket and compute for the price this way, right?”

His brows creased over his eyes, gaze flickering to the other. “Do you think you’ll be able to solve it eventually?” There was a quick nod at that - it was part of the reason he could never find any interest in the subject in all his years of schooling. “That would be awful, I’d never be able to buy anything; I’m horrible at math.” For all that it was an improbably situation to potentially be in, Sungmin still looked horrified at the thought.

Vincent was never one to get embarrassed, but he could feel a slight inkling of the emotion as he received responses at last. It seemed as if Daesung was fine, which was a relief - something he could willingly admit considering the other man held his interest so well. His own texts almost seemed pathetic now, but he decided to brush that thought aside and hopefully distract from it with his next series of messages.

*Hibiscus.

          The rooftop was like.. One big stress release for Do Kyungsoo. If life got a little rough (which it rarely did, thankfully) he’d just pour all of himself into his gardening. Pruning the roses was like he was snipping away his own worries– giving each unneeded branch and weak bud a personified character and just.. Snipping it away. It really did work wonders for him. Today is nice and warm outside, but the breeze is cool. He’s wearing his typical work clothes– a pair of old skinny jeans that he wouldn’t mind if they got torn or dirtied, and a baseball t-shirt whose sleeves that were once a bright green, have faded to a light mint thanks to the sun and multiple turns in the washing machine.  He’s been out here all day long, and he’s covered in smudges of soil and maybe there’s a leaf or two stuck in his hair (he had to shove himself half-way into one of the shrubs to retrieve a lost tool, unfortunately.) He’s dirty and sweaty and when he hears the door open and close from the building access on the other side of the roof top, he assumes it’s Seulgi. She visits and helps with the gardening quite regularly, and because it’s her, he doesn’t feel self-conscious about being so.. Dirty.

          When he gets up to his feet and walks out into the open to see another young man instead of his friend, though, he grimaces. Simply put, Kyungsoo wants to hide so the other can’t see him like this, but.. He can’t just leave this stranger to their own devices in his garden.

“A- Ah– Excuse me, the rooftop isn’t open to everybody..”

He hadn’t had much of a chance to look around the building in its entirety before meeting with the landlord days ago; all he’d really seen thus far had been the rooms of his own apartment - his, Sungmin finally had a place to call his own, and even if it might only be temporary it was still a much needed change in his life. Now that he’d finished moving in it was only natural to want to see as much of his new home as possible, and, inevitably, he had ended up on the rooftop after lonesome halls had lost his interest.

It is, in a word, breathtaking, a place that looks as if it belongs in his dreams, and he almost feels confused over the fact that the landlord hadn’t mentioned that this place existed (for it would have definitely helped convince him to rent the apartment). He’s too distracted by his own curiousity, heading over to some of the plants to investigate a little closer, to notice that he isn’t alone even when he’s approached, the sound of his voice so suddenly resounding in the area making Sungmin startle with a quick intake of breath and a jolt of a hand as it clutches at his own chest.

“I-I’m so sorry, I didn’t know, I just moved here and I wanted to look around so I ended up here and-” His outburst of words, jumbled and spoken almost too fast to make out properly, cuts off rather abruptly because of a need for oxygen, and his shoulders hunch up, a sense of guilt evident in his posture. “I can leave right now, I’m really sorry, it’s just...” His gaze finally shifts from where it had been focused so intently on the ground, wandering to the garden that surrounds them as a more awed, wistful tone enters his voice. “It’s really beautiful here.”

Vincent could be nosy - and maybe that was putting it lightly with how invasive and blunt he could be - and his present situation was no different. With one arm outstretched across the back of the bench they sat on, he raised his other hand to wave it almost dismissively. “Don’t hold back if you need to cough or you’ll end up choking,” he drawled casually, a grin stretching across his lips. “I’d say it’s the weather if I didn’t know any better. Spring and all the lovely allergies it aggravates.”
