On the eve of her 25th "coming of age" birthday, while everyone wondered whether she might marry against family wishes, Princess Margaret turned out like a dutiful daughter and princess to help at the Queen Mother's church bazaar near Balmoral Castle in Scotland. As a salesgirl, Margaret puzzled over sizes at the stocking counter, gasped when a boy ordered one nylon, giggled when she realized he meant one pair.
