lost in time
What PMD sky/darkness/time did so well was characterization land perception on looks. What I would absolutely kill for is a PMD series (pref in the pixel graphic similar to s/d/t but I know being in 2023 that won’t happen) to have a protagonist that typically embodies an unconventional evil/dark-looking Pokémon and a villain that’s unassuming/innocent-looking. What’s so great PMD s/d/t is that both dusknoir and grovyle are unconventional Pokémon. One is a mid evolution and the other is barely seen in media. The way the PMD universe gave narrative to unsung Pokémon is so wonderful. I think it would be beautiful if they pushed it a step further and went beyond what is already established.
Like if Dusknoir was actually a good guy: woah! This seemingly evil looking Pokémon with a dark color palette is good!!! If they switched the rules of dusknoir and grovyle, (both of which had something formative on my childhood). Idk maybe I’m just overthinking bc I’m playing PMD sky rn so I know the twists and stuff but I think it’s be so interesting and effective if these norms were switches up to the max
This is a blog for people who want to be rescued in Pokémon mystery dungeon games but dont know anyone that could help them
i was looking for blogs like this but the only ones i could find hadn’t posted in years so i decided to make my own.
When you want rescues submit a post to this blog detailing the game you’re playing, the dungeon you’re in, and the rescue password and someone seeing your post will help you out
This is a great blog to follow if you like rescuing others or if you need rescue often! You can submit posts for any pmd game but i personally only play explorers of sky and super mystery dungeon (north/south america)
Update October 10th 2022: im going to start posting other mystery dungeon related posts on this blog to add some variety, if you have any Pmd related stuff you want to share with me please submit an ask or post so i can see it!
Things I like about Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers that aren’t always noticed:
- The other teams: Team Flame’s dilemma, Team Poochy, Team Slackers, Team Razor Wind, the Team with Shuppet and Murkrow and their disagreements, even Team AWD (as unfriendly as they are) and all the others that show up
-Treasure Town inhabitants: Vigoroth (so willing to help me but I already know what’s up sorry bud), Ursaring and Teddiursa (and their confusion once Teddiursa evolves), Marowak, pretty much everyone else in Town
- The other guild members (and reading their diaries, sorry Sunflora!), Dugtrio just...staring out at the sea? Wanting to be like the ocean?
- The flag at Sharpedo Bluff moving with the wind, the windmills outside Kangaskhan’s shop
A lot of small things. But they’re so nice. Make sure to talk to the residents and listen to them! They’re so interesting!
I LITERALLY SOMEHOW CHEESED THE FINAL BOSS FIGHT IN EXPLORERS OF DARKNESS WITHOUT TAKING ANY DAMAGE HOLY FRICK
I WILL POST A GUIDE WHEN IM ON A COMPUTER
UPDATE: posted as an rb
You ever think about how a part of the resolution to the main story of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Time/Darkness/Sky is just watch how your sacrifice makes a god weep.
Whoops I've been painfully inactive.
Have a piece I did for the 10th anniversary of Sky but never posted here.
