Hey anyone remember this post? I decided to give this scene a redraw and I'm so glad I did! I tied more into the campaigns themes and aesthetics for this piece to subtly weave more lore together and give it some much needed love.

Chapter 2 - New beginnings

Part 1

Chapter 1 - Next

Adjustments to the new life in the guild were rough to say the least. To make money, Maeve and Bishop needed to journey into the dangerous dungeons or take any odd jobs they could find. While Bishop was in favor of the second option, Maeve insisted the rewards for dungeon diving were worth the danger.

Bishop wanted to protest with everything he had, a princess shouldn't be face to face with hostile enemies. And he could only do so much to protect her in the depths of chaos. He'd much prefer if she stayed back at the guild while he handled the dungeon diving.

The two of them were currently resting in the guilds dining hall, waiting for their meal to arrive.

"The Dungeons are pretty mysterious around here, right?" Maeve started a bit of chit chat. "We definitely haven't had an easy time with them, haha.."

Bishop adjusted in his seat, it was clear something was on his mind.

"I heard some new dungeons have recently been opened up to our guilds! Maybe we will have better luck trying one of those out. Well, I suppose we still need to reach a high enough rank to take on the intermediate dungeons.." She continued to chatter on. "Let's try the Singing Caverns again! It was so beautiful-"

"Beautiful?" Bishop scoffed "That place is crawling with danger."

"W-well yeah, I suppose so. Haha.." Maeve laughed nervously. It was unusual for her guard to behave in such a negative way. Usually he would keep a friendly demeanor, this was... odd.

"Even so, don't you think-" Bishop shot up from his chair, it nearly falling back as the wood legs racked against the floor.

"Im not hungry." Was all he could bring himself to say before taking his leave. Maeve now sitting alone amongst the large table.
