Definitely less standard to comm a Rumi and Jinu photo for a polytrix fanfic haha, but I've been loving writing their friendship dynamic, and Prince did a phenomenal job bringing them to life!!!

So that’s it, huh. Mira does a better job at stifling her tears than Zoey, but she still feels a few warm drops run down her cheeks. The hopes and dreams of being an idol at Sunlight Entertainment—hell, of being anything—are gone with a handwave from some guy in a suit and a paper that says “Thanks for auditioning”. Before she can storm out as quickly as possible to save what little face she has left, Mira turns on her heel and freezes at the sight of Celine, the CEO of Sunlight Entertainment, watching her. That odd woman with the purple braid and mask floats behind her, eyes gleaming. “Mira. Zoey.” Celine steps towards them. “Before you leave, I have an offer I’d like you to consider.”

Or: When Mira and Zoey, both running from difficult pasts, audition to become idols at Sunlight Entertainment (famous for its mysterious headliner idol Hunter) and fail, all hopes of meeting and training under Hunter go out the window until Celine makes them a different, surprise offer: train under Celine’s unknown ward Rumi instead.

(“Why us?” Zoey asks.

“Honestly,” Rumi says, “I think you're both really weird.”

Oh. Mira might kill her.)

I am sooooo obsessed with Paint right now. I love the mystique you've built surrounding Rumi and Hunter, I will eat up the identity shenanigans all day (also the mystery behind why Rumi is so secretive is tantalizing). I can't wait to see where it goes next. And the Mira/Zoey childhood friends was a really fun way to do them!

Also I really appreciate how you call out that there's clues hidden, it makes it so much more fun trying to fit the pieces together when you know something is going to pay off. (And I think I might've started piecing some things together? Idk guess I'll find out :P)

(also SWWL is probably one of my top fics of all time, it was masterful the way it slowly got me so invested in the girls and their relationship, and then crushed my soul, and then slowly rebuilt it)

!!! Thank you so much!!! I'm so so excited to hear from people enjoying the new fic! I know we're still just at the beginning, but it means so much to me that folks are already having a good time with it! (And oh my god same, I loooove identity shenanigans so so much)

And yes, I love the childhood friends trope, and since this was a full au, I wanted to incorporate it!

As for the clues, I'm so glad you like me calling it out! I figure like, most people probably wouldn't bother looking for clues if they weren't actually aware they're in there, you know? Gotta know it's a puzzle before you can solve it! (And ooo, exciting, I hope you have picked up on some things! I wanted the clues to be subtle, but I do also want sharp-eyed readers to have the satisfaction of going "I CALLED IT", you know?)

As for SWWL: Thank you, so so much. I'm really proud of that fic, and still can't believe I wrote it tbh, so the way I still hear people talking about it and how much people have loved it means the world to me <3

I'm so so glad to hear people are enjoying it! I know it's still just getting started, but I'm really excited about this story and can't wait to dive further in!

And anon, dude, I also fucking love identity shenanigans, they are one of my favorite things in fiction, and you can tell I got a tad self-indulgent since Rumi has, like, three layers of secrets in this lmao

And yep yep, lots of mystery!! I've never really written a story with major mystery components before, so since SWWL was full of things I'd never written, figured I might as well continue the trend and tackle something new!

The main mystery elements are each characters' backstories, and I'm trying to plant seeds all over the place. I don't expect anyone to dive, like, crazy deep into this silly little fic, but I've tried to be incredibly deliberate with near everything within it, and if you DO choose to deepdive, there are a lot of clues that can be sniffed out.

And thank you for the writing compliment, that means the world to me that people are enjoying it!!! I'm having a blast writing it, and I'm honored at anyone who's chosen to come along on a new ride with me <3

Oof, okay, chapter 3 - there is progress, I can finally say! I was seriously blocked up on this pretty badly for the past few weeks - had it outlined and everything, but just couldn't seem to get anything to flow

That has finally been unblocked this past week, and I've still got a ways to go in the chapter (so therefore zero promises ever on when it's done), but progress!!

As for a snippet, a lot of this chapter centers around something specific that I don't want to share ahead of time, so I'll share this small piece with a teeny tiny bit redacted:

Kpdh is like my intro to kpop and now your new fic has introduced me to La Sserafim and THANK U. Unforgiven is my jam rn, very Hunter song that Mira vibes with vibes

!!! I'm so glad!! KPDH has also been my own intro to Kpop, and I've actually had to do a lot of research into songs for my new fic because I'm so unfamiliar with them! It's been such a blast though, I've been adding so many new songs to listen to regularly, and I'm really glad you've been enjoying them as well!

And thank you very much for giving me a new song to listen to, because I actually hadn't heard Unforgiven yet, and have now been jamming to it all day haha (I also agree 100%, definitely one Mira vibes with!!)

Just wanted to pop in and say that 1) I love all of your kpdh fics, your writing is amazing, and 2) I've been listening to the songs you use in Frozen Heart and now I'm a little bit addicted to kpop. My algorithm is has become full of groups like le sserafim and aespa and babymonster and it's awesome.

I still have quite a bit to learn about Kpop in general, but it's been super fun to poke around different groups and songs to find ones that fit the fic, and in the process, I've ended up with a good number just on a playlist to listen to!
