While I'm away on holiday; here's a quick reminder that I made a small LUMEN game about toys protecting their human from nightmares. It's perfect for one-shots!

Back for Pocket Quest 2025!
It's happening again! I'm excited to be part of this fourth year of Pocket Quest. You can see my previous entries here and here.
Stay tuned for more on Sweet Dreams: a game of toys protecting their child from nightmares, powered by LUMEN.
Meet the Broccoli Boss!

Had a breakthrough with CONSUME yesterday after a mental block (yup, I was being very optimistic when I suggested it would be released weeks ago), and the proof copy of the expanded version of Nowhere Home is on its way. It was a good day for me!
Today, I woke up to learn that the Pocket Quest 2025 theme (Dreams and Nightmares) has been announced. If you haven't taken part in Pocket Quest before, I highly recommend it! Every year DriveThru RPG runs this event, and they do a great job of promoting the entries afterwards too. Both of my previous entries earned bestseller medals within months. Also, you get a 70% royalty rate and that's lovely!
While I work on my Pocket Quest entry, CONSUME must take a back seat yet again. However, both Nowhere Home and Season of Magic remain on track. =)
First game of Voidwalkers in a couple hours- first game of Voidwalkers ever. Very nervous for this! It's a more complex game than last year's Rocket-Powered Space Football, and I think a stronger game too, but I can't help but worry about whether or not people will like it.
(this group should- they enjoy Blades in the Dark, but Voidwalkers is more simplified, so maybe it won't have enough Meat for them?)
They've already worked out what playbooks they're using, and will fill in the actual sheets when they get here.
The Visionary will be played by our old Umberclutch DM! Who also plays Mackenzie in Strixhaven, Harrow in Blades, and used to play Phoebe in Trash Squad. She is very into the storytelling side of ttrpgs, and so is the most likely to vibe with this game. The other players tend to defer to her anyway, so it's useful that she's taking on the role of the planner/team lead.
The Muscle will be played by the guy who GMed Avatar Legends and Masks! He also plays Weaver in Blades and was Mr Slithers in Umberclutch (and originally Kingston in Trash Squad!) He's the most chaotic of the group, and I imagine he will try hitting a lot of things. I think he will be safer as the Muscle than as the Distraction, where he would likely keep running off doing his own thing and fall to the Void super quickly.
The Lookout will be played by my brother. He played Amadeus (Astro's twin) in Umberclutch, and plays Jazz in Strixhaven and Hook in Blades. My brother is a fairly quiet player, mostly there to roll dice and get into a few hijinks.
The Sneak will be played by the guy who played Va'Kym and Katzye! He also plays Mouse in Blades. He enjoys roleplaying different characters, but can be difficult to get to engage with a game's world beyond that.
The Distraction will be played by our Blades GM! Who also plays Faine in Strixhaven. She is quiet and chill, takes notes and draws little doodles, and is generally very easy to engage.
