We often get asked, “what’s a dot grid?” . To those of us who are already firmly established as stationery boffins, it may be familiar, however, to a stationery undergraduate, it’s not always clear. . Dot grids are a halfway house between blank and lined (but in our books, narrower at 5mm, compared to our 7mm line spacing). They are ideal if you like lists, bullet journaling, or might draw/sketch in your books too. Shown here in the foreground. . I use them for jottings and notes of ideas where the thread of the notes may not be continuous. Using the page spread too means mind maps and page real estate can be maximised and being dots, there is plenty of flexibility yet guides to keep things on a level or aligned where required. .
