Before I was met with this weeks challenge, I’d read a poetry book that somehow connected with me based on my style of photography. It seemed as if the poems were describing part of what I was thinking when I’d be shooting landscape images. Who knew it’d lead me not in the direction I thought, but to make a moody still life image.
So here it is - my photograph inspired by the poem Sunday by John Donlan. (This may be past the point, but I re-read this poem on a Sunday when I chose it.)
A few lines from the end of the poem go like this:

Healing, you leak light
like an eggshell pin-pricked:
you glow, you hum
like a man well mothered and well fathered.
