I just wanted to say something about Glaad Awards.
I am a really huge and obsessed fan of the fosters, i love the cast, especially Teri and Sherri, I love the storylines, I love the show endlessly. I could be defined as biased but I don’t care. I only watched two eps of Shadowhunters, so I am not in the position to judge and to say something about the show, and the cast, even if I have developed my opinion, but I will just talk about MY SHOW.
The Fosters talks about so many topics that I don’t even remember them all, and this show does it with a lot of respect, love and fairness for the issue and the people who may feel touched by it. We have the joy to have two amazing lesbian women and moms as principal characters, played by two equally amazing women, we have bisexual, gay and transgendered characters and, somehow, all they are so much important for the show. I don’t know why the fosters didn’t win the Glaad, i don’t know the motivation why Shadowhunters won, and honestly I don’t even really care, what I care about is that this show deserves so much more recognition and respect, because isn’t so easy to find a tv series that speaks up and addresses the issue as good as it does. I am just feeling so lucky and proud to support the fosters and its cast and producers, made up of wonderful and professional people and to be a part of this fandom which is one of the loyal, respectful and united fandom I have ever been part of.
