oh my godd Tohm!!! yes I'm so glad someone else on this earth knows who he is ;m;
YAAASSSSS ANOTHER LAURITA FAN <3 I’ve only drawn him once before, but you can expect more content in the near future. I’m in major feels overload about him atm. <3
idk if you've talked about it before but what got you into the stair warts
my mum tried when I was a kid like, four years old? And I wanted nothing to do with it I was watching DISNEY mum goshand then when I was just entering high school The Phantom Menace was about to be released? So I watched that in the theatre and got SUPER EXCITED and had a friend who was really into it too, and then mum got me the first movies to watch and I was OBSESSED ok i read so much and got so into it and it was just the first time that I’d had something like this to talk about with people? Like I was into things like Animorphs and Anne MCcaffery books and shit but I’d never had something that was so universally loved that I could talk about with a large group of people? star wars man. I had a padawan braid. It was embarrassing.
argentbradamante said:13. Do you prefer to keep your art personal, or do you like drawing things for other people?
Very little of my art is personal. It has to be total garbage sketching, or something I’m really embarrassed by. Sometimes, I post things and then take them back, because I realize I’d rather people didn’t know. The nice thing about people not really caring about your work much, is that people probably aren’t screencapping it or saving it for posterity.
kirruaa said:ahhh i love your work;;; how about 18 and 28? ///
That’s very nice of you!
What are you currently trying to improve on?
Color, always color. Paneling. Composition. I’ve recently started doing anatomy studies again (right now, I’m working on arms with warchiefeny.)
For traditional artists: what medium do you like most? (Pencil, charcoals, etc)
I’ve been into pen (all sorts) and white gel pen for a while now. It’s messy and I can’t erase. I can only “correct” with the gel pen. I love it.

Do you like to draw in silence, or with music?
Audiobooks or Netflix documentaries. Music is more for walking or biking. I get too distracted by music and just end up hammering Shuffle the whole time.

Do you feel jealous when you see other people’s art, or inspired? (Be honest!)
Little bit of A, little bit of B. It depends on the circumstances. I really enjoy younger artists who are already impressive - I don’t think I’ve ever felt jealous of that, or bad about it at all. I get a vicarious thrill from it. I also love watching my friends get better at stuff. But there have been times where someone a lot more popular than me does something I’ve been doing for years, and it’s like, oh, now people are going to think that’s so-and-so’s thing. I’m not mad at them, just frustrated. I think I get more mad at myself than anything else. I think, that could’ve been me, if I was more aggressive.
poctordepper said:How often do you use references?
Hmm. It’s hard to quantify that. It’s easier to describe situations in which I use it. If I try to describe it in terms of MO pages, I probably pull reference for something once every 2-3 pages. I find myself in more situations every day where I feel I don’t know enough about something, so I’ve taken up doing studies again. I don’t really like pulling reference much, but you already know that. I’d rather have the mental library, when that’s feasible.

Are you confident that you’re improving steadily?
No. It takes a long time for me to recognize progress. I mean, it’s probably there, but I don’t have a good sense of it.

How much time do you spend drawing on an average day?
Between 1.5 and 5 hours.
(already answered 18 above)
What inspires you to not just make art, but to be a better artist?
I want to make my ideas very tangible. That takes a great deal of skill. Also, honestly, I often feel like I don’t have much else going for me, as a person. If I’m gonna do this thing, I’m gonna do it the best I can.
Anonymous said:hi im shy. i think you've touched on most of these in the past so what's your least favorite thing to draw?
I can’t think of a particular THING I like drawing least, but I can tell you that I really loathe gridding. I was in art school very briefly, and master studies that required gridding kinda make everything hurt.
