Man. The more and more Star Wars that Disney churns out, the less and less I am inclined to make any effort to engage with it.
Like I know I'd probably like the Acolyte. The Maul stuff has a fave in it so people keep assuming I'll watch it, and I know Thrawn shows up in Ahsoka or something. I enjoyed the first season of the Mandalorian, but that's as far as I got. And apparently the seventh season of Clone Wars is, as my teenage coworker says, "fire". And then there's, what, like... uuhhh how many others.... the Bad Batch, something something for Rebels (might be Ahsoka now that I think about it), the Book of Boba Fett, the Kenobi Show, etc etc etc. But I just Don't Fucking Care. It's too much, it's coming too fast, I can't trust Disney to make real plotlines or coherent stories or to treat any of the characters with respect or even make/keep them interesting, and I'm just so fucking tired.
Honestly all I want is the OT and SWTOR and the Old Republic era comics and my old shitty Expanded Universe. It's like comfortable clothes. There's (plot)holes in the fabric and the stains show through, sometimes they're threadbare, but damn is there nothing quite like spending the afternoon lolling around on the couch with them.
I'm really considering digging out all of my old comics and taking pictures of the funniest/interesting panels and just starting a queue of them. Far more charm there than what I'm seeing get churned out at the GFFA Factory, even if it's old and patchwork and A Product Of Its Time. :P
