Are you planning to record any more of the stars on the staircase?? Your voice is so soothing and your way of reading it is amazing!!!

Hello anon!

Yes! I do plan to record all of The Stars on The Staircase. I think I have to focus on finishing writing it first, but recently comments have gotten me to go back and read earlier chapters which really made me feel like getting back to the audio side.

Stumbling blocks on the audio are:

-The next chapter that needs to be recorded is all Minerva McGonagall and reader dialogue. Doing Professor McG intimidates me. I know no one is asking me to do spot on impressions, just give the flavour like I do for Severus, but for some reason siting in front of my mic and doing any Minnie lines results in me doing them over and over again and editing becomes a nightmare to try to find the take I sound half decent on.

-Need to figure out a different place to upload to. Sound cloud free account is almost maxed out and I’m not sure it’s the place for it. Looking into alternative audio hosting.

-They are a slog to edit after recording. You never know how loud you breathe till you hear yourself gasping between rounds of doing Alan Rickman impressions.

That being said!! I do want to do it! I like being able to give an alternate way of receiving my story. I personally have really big issues with reading on devices, I get dizzy, and as a result I do not read fan fiction very much. (*cries in apology to those who have nicely asked me to read their work*) I want to give people like me a way to hear the story plus I really like getting to show you guys the way he says things in my head.

So yes. I will. I also think it would be fun to record a one shot that is from his POV and I’m waiting for the universe to give me inspiration for that one.

Knowing that I have a super heavy McGonagall chapter coming up soon is making me anxious. I'm doing this whole podfic for one person who comments on it at this point.
