Anxiety

For as long as I can remember you have held me back from doing anything outside of calm. Kept my lips sealed, holding everyone's insecurities as my own. Kept my legs shaking with nerves for action But my mind filled with illusions and excuses I've had to push, shove, scream and intoxicate you to leave me be. I've thrown you off heights in hopes that you'll die I've stretched​ you past agony but you only retract I've strengthen myself only to find out that you have been scheming too Your contract of life is nothing more than corporate smooth talk But this year I revel near death. Strapped up with a smile and passion. I forgive your destruction, and deceitful tactics Self-hate is a consequence that derives from sinful manners Kept me on my toes, til I became skillful. A white light shines bright inside all this darkness, Self-Love is the cure for all this shyness. Kanye summed it up with "believe in your flyness" Open my eyes to the fact that you are I But I is an illusion Which makes you nothing But we are everything And we only have us in the end So lets love every second of it.

"The Yin-Yang of my family" Peace, Love and Happiness Happiness: spend 15 minutes with my younger brother and youll be feeling your stomach checking to see if your six pack has come in. With a combination of sarcasm, intellegence, and childishness my brother is hilarious. He makes us laugh, can find the funny side to any situation and at the same time teach you a thing or two about the depths of life. Of course his childishness gets irritating at times and mami gets frustrated but he always finds a way to make her smile again. Love: what greater love than motherly love. She's raised us with love, all her energy, hard work and efforts are all for her love for her two sons. She loves us unconditionally and has never even made us question it. She works excessively but can somehow make time to act like a child with us. She's taught us to love and care for others even those who won't/can't do anything for you, even those who would talk shit about you behind your back, even those who will be ungrateful of your attempt to help. "It does not matter what they think as long as your heart is full of love, and your intentions are positive." She's taught us to always look for different alternatives for a situation, and that violence does not always solve the problem. Don't get me wrong we definitely got some real good ass-whoopings but love hurts, right. Peace: I don't speak much, I listen and think alot. I try to look at the positive side to everything but am aware that shyt happens. I am the middle ground between an ambitious, but pretty lazy, MMA fighter and a loving childish workaholic. I am usually the one trying to settle issues that arise, but once in a while I am the one causing a problem. I try to keep everyone level headed so they can they can proceed with a clear mind and I'm always willing to try and enlighten others on events, ideas, actions that can help them stride along a positive path. My family is small but, in my eyes, they are perfect. We keep each other balanced and we motivate and push each other to new limits, ideas, and actions. I Love You. Much Happiness , Love, and Peace

The Pursuit for Bliss

It’s the gasp for breathe after a bad dream The cold breeze when you lift your sheets. The headache from yesterdays choices The sore throat from lifting your voice

It’s the thirst from a playful summer day The hunger for a satisfying meal The wrinkles on the corners of your eyes from smiling too wide The pimples from that triple chocolate cake you almost denied

It’s the stitches pulling each time your heart pumps. And the exhausted panting from when you try to run. It’s the grinding of your elbows, joints and wrists It’s the impatiently patient wait for the next kiss

It’s the sore feet after a long day It’s the week in between paydays It’s the fall before you stand up It’s every scar, tear, and significant loss

It’s the days past fear When darkness is comfortable When you realize death has yet to come close to you You take a peak and realize that light only comes from within you

Falling

Call me crazy but i’m a love masochist, Obsessed with the bliss of having lips to kiss Opening my heart to beings who reflect good intentions Handing them knives, swords, and ammo And pinpointing bullseyes to my self destruction. I am happily ignorant I frolic through gardens of dreams and hope with eyes closed. Feeling the love that I hold Feeling the love that she shows I can soar off cliffs like the coyote in that cartoon show, aslong as I dont look down I have no worries, I read through the chapters and enjoy the story. I don’t skip through pages, I don’t predict the ending, I appreciate every surprise, twist and keep the conclusion pending. Call me crazy but I love falling in love. - G.V.
