Ugly thoughts started popping up again, as they do.

And, for the first time ever. I was shocked by this angry voice. Echoing across, ringing the tall bell, violent, smashing everything in its path.

It said “How dare you” and

“ You will never speak to me like that again”

It… it took years.

Nor rationality, nor feel goods, but a natural build in the caustic dormant well of emotion. Finally.

I need to build a garden in my heart

That I can carry with me

All the time

Let my mother roots take soil

When I am sure of myself

Nothing else can hurt me

I am rewriting my blood to be kind to me

I will love this being that tries, that just wants to live

I really want to be a nice person. I get walked over. And then anger builds inside of me. But, I really want to be a nice person. I get walked over. And then anger builds inside of me. I really want to be good.
