In need of some of your love
Another life
Shadows deepen Sun flows through the windows Unable to touch so much Carpet burnt by the sun in places
If there are ghosts, they are laughing they've seen so many hearts before The folly of the footsteps lingers We repeat the customs in different bodies Death and life take on a cog-like view
Passed down from stone to stone No women at the helm until now Wasted spaces on ancient customs Looks of wonder, some anger
The carpet remains for now Tattered and dingy in the stuffy places Cranky vacuums inflict various opinions Sworn enemies in love for so long
Shadows deepen in the room A tree from outside wants to sit for tea Birds flee from the windows The final curtain closes on another life
Dead flowers litter tables We will keep them on the stem again Dad would have been sad Another set of footsteps lost
My heart is mine and the Divine’s alone.
What I share is the warm light that radiates from it. What is the point of giving someone my heart if it is now disconnected from the Source of everything that makes it “desirable?”
It’s merely a trophy in the hands of another. A rose plucked, well on it way on the path of decay.
Day 29
leaving behind
intoxicating circles,
burning nights,
an unending desert
and dark nightmares in her heart,
she begins the journey to tomorrow.
Remix composed from Shirley Jackson's 'Haunting of A Hill House' (1959, online)
To love, and to be loved in return.
To want, and to be wanted.
This is the solvent that strangles both the Saints, and the Sinners.
Kuch khawaab adhure se reh gaye,
Bin tere kuch bole, in aankhon se ashk beh gaye,
Teri judaai bardasht kar gaye, par khamosh lab tere, dil me chubh gaye,
Tij-tyohaar fike pad gaye, din saal bas pal pal tujhe yaad kar kat gaye,
Par fir bhi naa kabhii tujhse ye keh paye, laut aa, tere bin reh kar naa jee paye, Agar tu ho toh tere sang zindagi bas yuhi beet jaye.
Ruins rebuilt
Haunted by memories and hunted by your past
You get lost in the hallways full of dusty forgotten frames
Gold diamond layed frames holding empty pictures
I don't recognise the people in the frame
Are they a sweet forgotten childhood memory or a yearning from the future?
The silence in the ruins of my castle make if colder with every step inside
The deeper you go the colder and harder it gets
You can feel the coldness rip through your skin
Tearing you up as you seek for more
Walk awhile longer I promise it gets warm soon darling
The more you rip and tear the warmer you get
Feel too much and leave or feel too little and stay like a forgotten frame among the ruins
Fall apart to me and you will finally feel the warmth you seek
Like a warm hug on a December night
Look up and see the frost disappear and turn to gold rays of sunlight
Dance with the ghosts in my ruins and hear them whisper stories in your ear like sinful secrets
I've been living with a frozen dead heart
Walk a mile further inside and watch it melt like ice cream in summer
Watch the ice melt and the scars glow in morning light
Trace your fingers over the cracks and watch the ruins heal under your touch
The ghosts leave and the frames are torn out to add new ones
Rebuild as you run across the passage leaving your sickly sweet scent behind
The heart bleeds out after being frozen for far too long
Redder as it finally found a new purpose
Healing over time till the walls are painted with blue and silver and clouds so grey you could live under them forever
The hollow dead heart finds itself and picks up crumbled pieces
One gravel at a time it rebuilds from its own ruins
Like a phoenix rising from its ashes
Feel the warm of the restored beauty in the ruins now
The smell of flowers from the garden and freshly baked bread from the panty
It feels like a home once more so don't turn it into ruins again.
