ok only one person asked but one is enough☝️
this is a poem to the people pleasers.
the quiet believers, the over‑achievers,
the ones who shrink themselves down just to make room for others’ storms and fevers.
the people who stick around after they've been hurt countless times
and they don't know why.
the ones who swallow their heartbreak with a practiced sigh,
who say “it’s fine, really,” even when it’s a lie,
who keep giving chances long after the well runs dry.
the people who feel like they'll never find their place, their home,
’cause they’re stuck trying to
make sure everyone else is comfortable,
even if it means they roam
through life feeling half‑seen, half‑held, half‑known.
the ones who bend so far they nearly break,
who give and give until there’s nothing left to take,
who stay awake replaying every mistake
as if their worth depends on what others forsake.
the ones who say “yes” when their heart whispers “no,”
who carry the weight of the world wherever they go,
who learn to read a room before they ever learn to grow
into someone who deserves softness too — though they rarely let it show.
the ones who mistake being needed
for being loved,
who think loyalty means never rising above
the people who push and pull and shove
their kindness around like it’s something to get rid of.
the ones who dim their light so others can shine,
who apologize for boundaries as if they crossed some sacred line,
who pour out their soul drop by drop like wine
and wonder why no one ever says, “your heart is divine.”
this is for you —
the tender, the tired, the endlessly forgiving crew,
the ones who keep choosing kindness even when the world forgets to choose you.
may you learn that your worth isn’t measured by how much you can hold,
or how quietly you can fold,
or how well you can mold
yourself into shapes that leave you cold.
may you find a place where you don’t have to earn your space,
where love doesn’t feel like a race,
where you’re not always the one giving chase,
and where “home” finally looks like your own face.
