Solar Eclipse Duo Poem?
sooo, I had to write a poem for one of my classes...
....so obviously I made one on doomed Yuri <3
Anywayssss, I thought y'all might appreciate it, so here! ;3
The Sun and the Moon
The sun was born in crowns of flame,
An heir by breath, by light, by name.
Wherever she walked, the world would lean,
To drink the warmth she cast unseen.
The Moon was sworn in silver hush,
A vow made soft, a blade made just.
She learned to guard, to stand, to stay,
To orbit light and turn from day.
For loving stars was not her role,
Yet gravity has claim on her soul.
For although she tries her hardest to part,
She can not control the long in her heart.
Then came the night the kingdom fell,
When ash rang louder than the bell.
The Sun was hunted, power sealed,
Her brilliance feared, her fate concealed.
So hand in hand through dark they ran,
Beyond the edge of sea and land.
The moon would shield, the Sun would learn,
How once-lost fires ache to burn.
The Moon stood watch through endless nights,
Through whispered threats and broken fights.
She caught the blades she saw in time,
And bled between each step and line.
But even Moons must face the truth:
They borrow light, don’t direct its youth.
They ward the dark, they hold the line,
But cannot halt a star’s design.
For Suns must burn to rise anew,
Must crack, must ache, must scorch in two.
And Moons, though faithful, fierce and near,
Cannot erase all hurt and fear.
So when the flames grow wild and deep,
The Moon will stay. The Moon will weep.
She’ll hold the Sun when light feels wrong,
When brilliance costs more than it is strong.
For loving stars is this cruel art:
You can guard their life, not shield their heart.
