21 mars. Journée de la poésie. « Pay with a poem »
Poetry, a powerful voice for change. Through rhythmic verses and poignant words, these poems illuminate the social issues that shape our world. From inequality to environmental concerns, each line carries a message of awareness and empathy. Let your heart be moved, your mind be awakened, as you delve into the depths of these thought-provoking verses. Join me on this poetic journey of reflection and inspiration. 🌍✨ (PART 2 OF 2)

Not your daughter
A woman is gang raped,
Her body burnt to ashes.
Because you think of her
First as a sex object
And then as evidence of your crime.
A body which contained a soul,
Full of joys and sorrow,
Flaws and imperfections.
Full of life.
But no, you reduce her
To a mere object.
Now, it's the media's turn.
" India's daughter"
They call her.
"Nirbhaya" [Translation: Fearless]
They christen her.
Stop.
Just stop.
We are not ideals
For you to romanticise.
We are not objects
Designed for your pleasure.
We are not India's daughters
We are just human.
We do not want to be idealised
Or put on a pedestal.
All we want
Is to live
Fearlessly.
-by Ocean
You kill
You bomb
We stone
pebble by pebble
We reason
every time
You murder
We protest
We cry
We raise voice
You blabber
You lie
We stand
We stay
We die
We wake up
We fight
We fight
You jeer
You dance
You cheer
You murder
We throw rocks
We sob
but not lose hope
We resist
We tear -- up but not apart
You censor
You silent
voices, people, feelings,
blood that runs through our hearts
You buy
dummies, countries, leaders
We resist, we stand, we stay, we fight
We old
We young
We children--
we sleep with fingers in our ears,
get handcuffed with smiles
correct you at the stake of our lives
Here's the difference between you and us
Your missiles
Your iron dome
Your bombs
Your blasts
not Your land
not Your people
Our 22 year olds
Our childhood
Our youth.
You take away our lives
We die on Our land.
(for my Palestinian brothers and sisters)
Sometimes I feel like Auden. What can this craft do? When the sun is low on me, I ask myself again and again as I feel writing slip away from me. What can these words do? What can I do? And then, just like Auden, I write and write, anyway. If it runs away, this craft, my art, it's the only thing I'll ever run after. If it slips, I'll reach out.
And one day, maybe I'll have the answer, but until then I'm going to do something with these words, going to speak, write, listen and spread the word. And act. Act now.
The sun rises.
Je samozřejmě velmi krásné, když vás chlapec pozve na kávu. Ještě krásnější ale je, když ji zaplatí básní.
