No self-respecting filmmaker would want to make Sucker Punch.
Imagine thinking this was some kind of brag.

I wanted to continue the posts of the “beautiful” animation of Tom and Jerry: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
Trailer for Cabin Fever Remake
Seriously. This need not exist. 2002 is when the original came out. Fuck this so hard.
Point Break 2015 trailer, not a patch on the original movie from the look of things (no surprise there!) but ‘OK’ for a modern day extreme sports/action movie.
The actors playing Utah and Bodhi just don’t seem right and are nothing on Reeves and Swayze
Yet another pointless remake
Wow, this looks amazingly unnecessary. It reminds me of that pointless remake of “The Omen” a little while ago. I don’t get this at all. “Poltergeist” just makes no sense as a remake - remakes work when there’s a compelling new angle on the original story (ex. the change from small-town to urban locations informs a lot of the 1970s remake of “Invasion of the Body Snatchers”, and brings in a different set of fears and paranoia), or if there’s a broader concept that you can tell new stories in (ex. the new Star Trek movies, though more in theory than in execution). You can’t really do the latter with “Poltergeist” without making it essentially an original ghost story with the same title (in which case, just make a totally original movie), and nothing in the trailer suggests they’re doing the former. I don’t think “better special effects and modern hair/clothing!” alone justify a remake. You need to be saying SOMETHING that wasn’t already said.
You know what element leaps out as a huge bad sign? Putting the explanation for the haunting - you know, “you moved the headstones but you didn’t remove the bodies!” - in the damn trailer. It just screams “we know you’re not here for a story, cause you already know it. Just shut up and watch your jump scares”. I mean, it’s a total cliche, but it still shouldn’t be in the trailer.
PS - Gruff Irish guy looks way more boring a medium than Zelda Rubenstein. Even though she was a benevolent character, there was still something intriguingly eerie about her that added to the overall spooky atmosphere.
Robocop
was like an extremely well-produced pilot for a show I'd never watch.
Watching this is like eating a plastic steak
I love Chloe Moretz, but why are they remaking Carrie? Sissy Spacek is so perfect in the original.
