Also regrettably true is the prevalence of McDonalds Animated Cartoons in the late 1980 through 2003. See, I knew about the McDonald's cartoons that were done by Klasky Csupo, the animation studio from Rugrats and Ahh Real Monsters. I have the first three on VHS still! I knew there was one more that I never got...

However, there is more. There are SIX into total!

Even wilder, there was two that happened in the late 80's, with only one of those being found recently!

If you want proof how much Bamco has changed their tune about Soul Calibur, consider the following image.

Yes, this is some pervy, weeb class shit. 

That’s not what I am highlighting here.

What I am highlight is this: That armor up above? That came from Soul Calibur Lost Swords. What you have to understand is that armor in Lost Swords was $60. In a loot box. 

See Lost Swords Bamco’s terrible attempt to salvage Soul Calibur V.  Lost Swords was a F2P, single-player, Soul Calibur game. I repeat:  Lost Swords was a F2P, single-player, Soul Calibur game featuring absurd micro-transactions. Literally, there were loot boxes for armor for ranges up to $20-60 dollars. Mind you, V came out in 2012, so at this point V was about $20 bucks. People were spending the same amount of money to purchase “special” armor like that above for $60. I’m sorry, people were paying $60 for a loot crate for a CHANCE to get that “special” armor.

Flash forward to today. 

That same dumb armor is included in DLC3 pack featuring tons of other stuff, including free school armor in the game update.

Price? $5.99

Video games, man, video games.

Also, before any one says this show was just copying Bill Nye...

1) Beakman’s World came out in 1992, while Bill Nye came out in 1993

2) Beakman’s World is actually based off of a children’s science comic strip that started in 1991

I’m not trying to start a beef war between to great 90′s science shows for kids. I’m just trying to show this great show to people who might of missed it. 

Also for whatever reason, a local channel has a two hour block of Beakman and Bill Nye back to back, which is giving me all sorts of feels when I wanted to be a sciencist a kid.

Why Donkeykong?

It needs no explanation, but … my nickname at work at one point was ‘Kong’ because of how I was perceived as pursuing goals at work. And after a big deal on one trip, over a beer by the hauptbahnhof, a German colleague said ‘thanks, Kong, we needed that.’ … and and an American one said ‘yeah, Danke, Kong’ with a bad German accent. And it sounded like donkeykong and it stuck lol

It has since morphed into all kinds of other meanings, and I love each and every one.

Oddly enough, my parents never let a video game console grace the home growing up so I have never played Donkey Kong.
