24. favorite crystal?

Not sure, honestly, there are so many! I love amethyst, tourmaline, quartz, and garnets, though. The deeper the color, the better.

I had such a gem phase when I was a kid. I am no longer in that phase, but I'm still basically a magpie. Is it shiny? Sparkly? Yes? Me likey, give it to me.

68. worst flavor of any food or drink you’ve ever tried?

That is... a very good question. I'm going to have to say probably malt(?) beer is up there (tastes like acetaminophen).

I once made a chocolate cake and tried adding some grand marnier to it. Added too much. It was genuinely disgusting. Felt like it was burning my mouth and throat. That's also probably up there.

And once, when I was a wee lass, I tried making a spice rub for fish that used equal parts salt and pepper. Never again. Again: it burned.

On a slightly different note, despite it's unpopularity, I actually really like liver. It seems really unpopular, but it's been good the few times I've had it.

I'm so sorry, I had to google who that was, and I can confidently say I have no idea. Potentially, I suppose, and whatever the official material says, I'm sure there are plenty of fanfictions depicting otherwise. More context may help, so if you feel like educating me, feel free. ^^

do you know how you want the story to end when you start, or are you just stumbling through the figurative wilderness hoping to find a road?

Depends on the fic. For one shots, I usually already have an idea of what I'm doing prepared and ready to go, but for bigger and longer pieces it's a lot more shakey. I typically have some kind of vague sense, but nothing that's very concrete. In a way, I kind of like it like this because it lets me decide what's the best ended as I'm getting there. For Detours, for instance, I think I knew how I wanted that fic to end maybe... halfway through? And I didn't know where I wanted Ingo to end up until only a few chapters from the end.

2. talk about a notable time a narrative or character has looked you dead in the eyes and said “fuck your plan, here’s what we’re actually doing.”

God this happens all the time and I LIVE for it, tbh! The one that comes to mind right now is the third chapter of All Along the Watchtower. Reeve was supposed to, at the start of a new time loop, send Cait Sith to chat with Red and learn more about the others experiencing the loop, but instead Reeve basically just got up and ran to Hojo's lab on his own lol. Which tbh I think his experiencing in the time loops making him more willing to get his own hands dirty doing something makes for a lot more impactful of a moment. I did repurpose the idea though for Meeting Behind Enemy Lines.

To a lesser extent, this also happened in Puppets, Off Stage, where the dialogue between Cloud and Cait flowered effortlessly on it's won, with the characters themselves seeming to pose and answer questions that I hadn't even considered when I first intended to write the fic.

just saw your slew of one piece posts, re fanfic one piece as a fandom has always had a surprising dearth of fics? I've had theories about that but suffice to say yeah. not that many pre timeskip character studies that arent a full timeline au. iirc

SAD! i mean to a degree i get it bc there's already So Much canon that to a point it feels like there's like. no room/need for fics. but also... hrgh. i may have to write this specific one now

while i dont think adaman or irida would have sky flames (maybe rain and cloud respctively), what do you think about kamado having sky flames?

I defo don't think Adaman or Irida have sky flames, I think for the clans it almost makes the decision of who's the leader too easy to parse, though you could definitely do something with it. Rain and cloud I think sound really good! Especiay the complications for Irida of naturally being sort of an independent person, but now people are relying on her.

Kamado having sky flames is great! I like the idea of that being one of the reasons he was chosen to the head the Galaxy Team, and that it also made it alost natural for many of the others who agreed to come to also be other flame users, naturally attracted to a sky. And I think it adds to the tension and threat he sees in Dawn. He knows more than anybody the strength and weight a Sky carries, and if she's supposed to be the downfall of the clan, then a sky is perfect for that job.

Idea for a Story

Nanu being the one to take Anabel aside in a cafe. She's under the impression they're just catching up, but he tells her, well, hasn't she noticed the similarities between her and the Fallers she investigates? Hasn't she ever wondered what that meant, where she came from?

Unpopular Opinion

Again, I'm not hip with the pokemon fandom, so I don't know what's popular. Um, I actually dont' think he's sexy, is that controversial? I think he's great! But not like hot? But also not ugly? Idk i'm ace that kind of concept is entirely above me.

Favorite Relationship

Him and acerola ;-; that's his daughter! That's his second chance at trying to do something right after what happened with the Faller and guzzlord!

Favorite Headcanon

He's stayed in Alola to try and keep an eye out for other Fallers. He mostly wants to try and keep them as far away from the interpol and ultra beasts as possible, though.

Palmer and Volkner are not exactly subtle, but luckily Ingo is also not the most aware, at least when it comes to people. When it comes to pokemon tho? The dude knows his stuff.

Palmer is trying to be patient but even he is like 'man I wish I knew if this was subway master ingo for sure or not :/'

Sorry, this has been sitting in my asks for like a week bc it took me forever to get to reading this lol.

It was pretty interesting! Sort of reminded me of an old story idea I once had about a character who jumped off a building to commit suicide, but hit someone on the way down, and the two got into a coma. The only way to wake up was to like go through the suicidal character's memories.

I was surprised at the use of their japanese names, but more than that I was surprised thy were german! Is that a usual headcanon for them? Makes me think of Ace Attorney lol, where it seems like just randomly it'll be like 'idk the characters also german'.
