hello, idk if this quite fits the question but im looking for any slime-looking enemies in the mario series? preferably ones with existing 3d models. i havent been able to find any and you seem like you all know a lot about random mario enemies

Poison Bubble from Super Mario Run (does this count? I think it counts. It's a blob of liquid poison)

Wubba from Super Mario Bros. Wonder! The most classic-style, straightforward slime to thus far grace the Mario series, and a Wonder Effect will turn the player into one!

Outside the main Mario series, there are a bunch in the Yoshi series, like Slime Drop and Sluggy. All enemies mentioned in this post have 3D models!

Poison Bubble (Super Mario Run)

Behold: the only unique enemy in Super Mario Run! And it's one I could feasibly see make a return in a future game.

Golly gosh, a Super Mario Run original enemy! Did any of you know this existed? I didn’t! It’s really just a purple Lava Bubble that jumps out of poison instead of lava. Also, remember when they were called Podoboos instead of Lava Bubbles? I liked that. That was cute.

This post gives me an opportunity to talk about something REALLY weird in the Mario series that’s not technically enemy-related, and that’s all the poison in the forests/jungles. What’s up with that?! Ever since New Super Mario Bros., it just sort of became normal to replace the water with purple acid in the more heavily-wooded levels. That’s kind of scary! Is it natural? Is it the result of pollution? Why just in the forests/jungles?

There have been SOME attempts to explain it. New Super Mario Bros. U calls the jungle world “Soda Jungle”, so is it supposed to be grape soda? In Paper Mario: Sticker Star, the poison is a direct result of a corrupted Gooper Blooper, but surely this isn’t the reason in the main series games, especially since it disappears when Gooper Blooper is defeated.

Even Super Mario Odyssey keeps the tradition going. The Wooded Kingdom may be clean for the most part, but it’s full of Poison Piranha Plants, and the Lost Kingdom is surrounded by a deadly sea of poison, which the wildlife has nonetheless adapted to. But this doesn’t make it any clearer at all!

So basically the environment in the Mario world is kinda messed up and scary. Poison Bubble is cute though.
