Sea Devil & Tako (Yoshi's Safari)

Demons come in all shapes and sizes. I suppose it makes some amount of sense for one to come in the shape of a humungous jar. So humungous that we never get to see what the Sea Devil looks like beneath the horizon...

Sentry Garage (Super Mario Galaxy)

Just leave the Sentry Garage alone! They just want to birth and raise their Topminis in peace.

I also like to picture the area where the Sentry Garage is located at as one of those nursery playgrounds, with the green floor and the fences to prevent the Topminis from wondering too far.

Pi'illodium (M&L: Dream Team)

For the life of me, I could never get the timing on Pi'illodium's hammer attack. Makes it so I don't feel sorry for this menace whenever they put on their sad face.

Mammoshka (M&L: Dream Team)

I wish I could convey how Mammoshka's outer body, when stationary, shifts up and down like a loose pile of bricks. It's just so fascinating. To see what I mean, look them up in the Mario Wiki.

Torkscrew (M&L: Dream Team)

It's really funny how Torkscrew's chase sequence seems so low energy. The brother that gets stuck on their drill doesn't get hurt, they move really slow, and, aside from a few mines here and there, you stand to lose about 10-20 coins at most.

Grobot (M&L: Dream Team)

Such a rotund design for a gardening robot. I hope Boss Brickle made his new Grobot more durable so its programming doesn't turn malicious again.

Cractus (Wario Land 4)

I do prefer Cractus' Wario Land 4 design. However, I drew them in their WarioWare: Move It! design to commemorate Cractus making their grand reappearance.

Maiamai (TLoZ: A Link Between Worlds)

A Link Between Worlds was the first Zelda game I've ever played, and Maiamais were a really fun additional collectible. They're just so cute, and they just want to go back to their momma.

An alternate perspective could be that the baby Maiamais left their Mother on purpose to explore the lands of Hyrule/Lorule, only to end up getting lost and then start crying out.

Surprise Alien Board (Kirby & the Forgotten Land)

Not an creature, but a stage hazard. Still, it has its own figurine and official name, and it just looks nice.

I chose to draw the red one because I feel it stands out the most compared to the other two colours (that might also be why the red one was chosen as the in-game figurine).

Crammed Wraith (Hey! Pikmin)

One of these Wraiths is not the others... probably because this pudgy guy spends their whole life crammed in their one shell (it is a decent looking shell, I'll give them that).

Blubbug (Hey! Pikmin)

If Blubbugs were friendlier, I could imagine Pikmin treating Blubbugs like a li'l bouncy castle.

Big Birdee (Kirby Mass Attack)

Given the farmer's overalls she wears, I wonder if Big Birdee grows her own food, then brings them to her children, rather than just scavenging them from the forest.

Glutbulb (Kirby Mass Attack)

Glutbulbs only appear in Dedede Resort. My headcanon is that Dedede had some imported to his resort because of their rarity.

Red Gigas/Recumen (Skies of Arcadia)

I have not yet played Skies of Arcadia, but seeing such bizarre-looking giants like this Red Gigas calls to me.

Dreamcast games are such a wild ride.

Starnacle (Hey! Pikmin)

What is a Starnacle even supposed to be? I have no clue. It's like no other enemy I've ever seen in a video game, and for that, I love this cyclops creature and their translucent tentacles.

Red Mountain prisoner (Sonic Adventure)

This is my favourite kind of video game creature. Real oddball designs that are just in the background with no explanation as to what they even are.
