Noíse, The Kenku?
A poor unfortunate soul, cursed by an unknown higher being to forever be a kenku, and to not only forget his family's names, but his own too.

Cafe Dot - Birthday Gamejam: Devlog #2
So... It's been a few days. I'll be honest and say not too much has happened since last time apart from some refactoring as well as creating waves, so instead of doing these by days (since I kind of forgot this time around, I'll cover the updates, or try to summarise them at the very least!
Wave Management
The most biggest update so far, we now have an enemy spawning system that randomly spawns in enemies around the player based on the players location and rotating them around said centre point (shown here)
With that an intervals set between each spawn, it's now beginning to feel the slightest bit like the survivor's like that I wanted to create!
Enemy Code Fixing
It was... To say the least a little buggy with how it decided to work, with a bunch of bugs popping out of thin air after the implementation of the wave manager, as well as many options that I had not learned about yet in Godot (such as materials having to be local to scene, curse thee). At least for right now, the enemies are working a lot better, though I do wish that I can make it so that the enemies aren't doing damage to the player every single frame, and maybe put it on a timer instead of a really short time.
Functional gun!
This one is super neat, I now have a gun similar to that of how enter the gungeon or any other shoot em' up would work, with this I can now implement cooler upgrades like more bullets, and increased fire rate! The bullets are also cake yes.
(Example of the Gun, the enemies, and the wave manager)
Experience and Experience Bar
Don't even get me started on those... For no reason AT ALL, these have been giving me the biggest struggle recently, they are currently sitting in my scenes folder waiting to be implemented, yet I have not found a 'neat' or even functional way to implement them, and so far Godot UI has been super confusing to me, so call that a double whammy.
What's to come?
Hopefully soon I'll finally get started on making actual art for this game instead of just using programmer art, and add more juice to keep my motivation up, if anyone has any resources to help getting used to Godot's User interface nodes while I smash my head into my keyboard, it will be greatly appreciated, until next time!
Also I still don't have a name for this game yet, sigh.
A Commission for a dnd NPC :)
A cooky witch which might not be fully cued in on social cues, she tries her best though!
