I continue to think about what the Public Collectors project Hardcore Architecture should be and what it should do. One of the things I think it should be is an organ for dealing with contemporary living situations, with an attitude that fits the angry music the project draws on. With that in mind, today I designed and printed several hundred copies of this flyer. I’ve been feeling such an intense despair over the latest round of police murders in Chicago; it was time to design something and put the Temporary Services RISO to use. On April 5th, 2013, Oakland police were notified of an alleged burglary in progress in West Oakland, California. While information about the incident is still emerging, OPD has stated that one of the suspects was carrying a fake gun and did not know police were setting up a perimeter around the
I heard that this had happened. Copwatch are the only group of people to respond. Apparently white police collaborators who live in this neighborhood are also at fault for this persons death.
