I mean police will literally flip your car in the name of safety if you don’t have a safe space to pull over but for hit-and-run offenders who kill people and drive away, police are totally useless and will ask “what do you want me to do about it?” But clearly it’s important to take a mildly speeding driver who isn’t causing an accident and escalate that into a life-threatening situation.
