Day 4/100 Days of Productivity

It’s freezing, I’m tired and I needed to take a moment to really relax. After a few hours of deep cleaning and finishing up all the laundry, I managed to find some time to relax and watch the snow storm outside. I journaled, finished some readings for Con. law and made goody bags for my residents. Now, time to relax and unpack my groceries that just got delivered.

(Fingers crossed that it freezes so we don’t have class on Monday.)

Hello, everyone out there! I’m Rebecca and after having my studyblr for a few days, I’m finally ready to do an introduction! I’m hoping to find a community that is as dedicated to learning and exploration of history as I am.

-Who am I?

I’m currently eighteen and was raised in the pacific northwest. I’m attending Portland State University as a sophomore this year after managing to get enough credit from my AP courses. I’m doubling majoring in Political Science and history (with a minor in law and legal studies, hopefully). I love reading, writing, cleaning and spending too much time reading posts on tumblr. I’ve always had a love for history and as I got older, I began to find politics to be a huge point of interest for myself. I volunteer at my local democrats office and help run the office there, so I certainly have some strong feelings on out current administration. I’m a self-proclaimed international feminist so please, don’t be afraid to call me out if I say something incorrect. As a white queer teenage girl, I do try my best to be educated and check my privilege.

-My interests?

I love a lot of different things, especially when it comes to history. I enjoy American History, mainly due to the classes I had available in high school. The eighteenth century is my favorite. I also spend a lot of time reading classic novels, catching up on everything I missed when I was too busy in high school. Some favorites are To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston, and Animal Farm by George Orwell. Hit me up if you need any help with analysis, I’ll see if I can help.

My classes?

Since it’s my first term, I’m only taking twelve credits.

Why start a studybr?

I’m a procrastinator. I like my rest and I like my quiet time but, I’ve really been cultivating a passion for education and need a community who shares the same struggles. I spent a while watching studyblr from old blog but finally decided too jump right in. I’m practicing my notes and bullet journalling; this seemed like the perfect place to get exposure to those with experience.
