Things I Watch!
Mcyt! Itâs been my special interest for what is probably going to hit 10 years at some point in 2026. Iâve liked many an mcyt over the years, but currently I mainly watch the life series and hermitcraft. Joel, Gem, Grian, and Scott are my main POVs, though I also love Lizzie and Mumbo. Boat boys is a particular favorite dynamic/ship of mine :] I am an Aphmau MyStreet fan as well! Very excited about the come back.
Iâm a dnd nerd(Iâve played for a few years), though specifically in a HUGE Dimension 20 and Worlds Beyond Number fan. Iâve seen a decent chunk of D20âs stuff, and am typically up to date on WBN. Aabria Iyengar is such a big inspiration to me, please check out anything and everything sheâs in!! Also you do not understand how much Ayda Aguefort has burrowed her way into my self. From the moment I first saw her I could no longer imagine being me without loving her. That sounds silly but unfortunately I am not joking
On the topic of Dropout, I love Game Changer as well!! Itâs one of if not my favorite show. I watch most dropout.tv shows
Iâm a casual mostly, but I do watch anime :] Ouran is my favorite, it was my first anime and holds a special place in my heart as my comfort show. Others I enjoyed are Death Note, Dun Meshi, The Apothecary Diaries, Saiki K, TPN S1, Hunter Hunter, and the Miyazaki movies.
My favorite movies are I Saw the TV Glow, Howlâs Moving Castle, and Mamma Mia!

Things I Do
I really like to read! The books currently gracing my Favorites shelf are Omniscient Readerâs Viewpoint, the Once Upon a Broken Heart trilogy, Compound Fracture, The Song of Achilles, and This is How We Lose the Time War. OUABH also has its own shelf with special editions and merch. The other Andrew Joseph White books are also very good(though compound fracture is my fav!) so please read those! I like various other books but this post would be far too long if I listed them all lol
I donât game a LOT, but the main ones I do play are Stardew Valley, Hades, Minecraft, Dredge, Unpacking, and Monster Camp.
I like to write, though I do not do it as much as I should. I dabble in fic writing, inconsistently. I also write original/more personal work, inconsistently the form of prose poetry! I find the medium really enjoyable.
Music wise, I mainly listen to The Crane Wives and Will Wood, as well as Yaelokre, Penelope Scott, The Oh Hellos, and Mother Mother. Aside from that I sort of listen to a bunch of random songs

Shoutout to this Binface graphic for being hilarious, but I feel like we should also draw attention to the other reason Farage is (hopefully!) fucked. It's emerged that he apparently didn't know resigning his seat wouldn't end the investigations, just pause them, when he forced this by-election.
What that means is he can very probably be done not only for any financial offences, but for contempt of Parliament (when you interfere with Parliamentary business or investigations- Boris Johnson was kicked out of Parliament because he did that with Partygate).
And even better, if the investigations show he could have criminal charges brought against him, the fact he did that means that they could also potentially find him guilty of perverting the course of justice (trying to sabotage a criminal investigation), which is an even more serious crime than any of the financial fraud he's probably done.
And then, even if none of that happens, he's basically Streisand effect-ed himself into oblivion. The first thing you're likely to hear now after Farage's name is 'took ÂŁ5 million from a crypto billionaire and ÂŁ1 million from a convicted fraudster'. And he's freely admitted he took all that money and 'can spend it all on Ferraris' if he wants to.
Even if he isn't guilty of any misconduct (which is doubtful), no one but no one has any sympathy for a bloke complaining people don't like that he hoarded ÂŁ6 million from criminals in the middle of a cost of living crisis. This is his legacy now, and it's so funny.

I get in theory why people complain about het ships or whatever, I get wanting to watch queer media I really do, but I guess where yâall lose me is like. I saw some asshole on a post about Sinners complaining it was âhetslopââthis person was specifically doing so while also claiming Remmick was a queer character and thus they were justified in caring more about him than the Black protagonists. which is a whole other disgusting can of worms that has been well addressed by others at this point. but even in the absence of that part of the argument, like, no, i actually donât think that a hunger for queer stories is an especially good excuse to deride and dismiss a piece of landmark Black filmmaking, especially as a non-Black person. I have a post thatâs been going around encouraging folks to engage with more Native stories and characters, and I had someone come onto that post saying in the tags that theyâd need these stories to be queer in order to care. and I just think that, you know, sucks! like obviously as a queer Native I also want to see more of those stories too. but idk how else to put it other than to say that Black people and people of color shouldnât have to be like you in order for you to care about our narratives and experiences. and I think some of yâall are using this disdain for heterosexuality as a cover for your unexamined racial biases. itâs not okay to be racist to people just because those people happen to be straight, and you continue to be white before you are queer.
on an even more basic level than that, also, I simply just think some of yâall NEED to learn how to interact with media and storytelling without ships and fandom in mind. like if not being able to write fic about two men kissing is genuinely going to be a dealbreaker for you I think thatâs actually something you need to work on within yourself because at that point I think youâre no longer really interacting with art and themes and narrative so much as just kind of playing with toys. which is, like, fine I guess. have fun. but it wouldnât kill you to disengage from that from time to time. especially if would allow you to actually appreciate rich and deeply moving cultural stories from communities of color that you desperately need to learn how to see as human

Join your fellow centuries of believers as you learn the racist history of white people (yes, the women too!) taking advantage of their enslaved Black victims' bodies in any way they saw fit, because they had a psychosexual obsession with the power they held over them! I'm sorry, I mean the "enemies to lovers obsessed vampire trope"!
I think the most charitable interpretation of this is that people connect to characters that are like them, and that the experiences of Blackness is so alien to them that the White characters are the only ones that White people connect with. Combine that with the fact that Tumblr is so White as a platform, and you get this issue.
Itâs still bad and racist, but it is understandable. People should still do better though. (Iâm not trying to justify, Iâm trying to come up with an explanation)
