Fall Semester Game Plan
As July comes to a chaotic end between moving myself to a new apartment and my partner to a new city I can’t help but feel a bit nervous for the future. Since I will have limited distractions (one of the few benefits of a long distance relationship) my goal is to push myself harder in areas where I can improve my professional development. So my goals are:
Though I only have to take 2 classes for my program I may be given a tuition waiver for 3-so I will take an educational foundations research analytics course.
I may splurge on a grant writing course through one of my university’s partners, it is 1 credit and only 6 weeks, I’ve done grant writing in the past with moderate success but it would be good to have a refresher and have it on my CV/transcript.
Taking advantage of as many workshops on campus as possible. One great thing about the graduate office that I work in is we have so many professional development workshops and workshop series. I hope I can swing it where I can attend and work at the same time.
Free online courses. I need to be better about this. There are so many courses online that would be beneficial to take. I know Harvard has a free course series. They are self-paced and look straightforward. I need to spend my free-time more wisely and I think this would be a good way to use it. There are a few introductory data science courses that look good! Sometimes it isn’t about getting the credit but expanding your knowledge.
I also want to work on my health. I’ve adopted some not so holistic habits from my partner in the year we have been together and I want to remedy that (they eat a lot of carbs and fats, but they have the metabolism of a hummingbird).
Here is to the beginning of my final year in my master’s program!
My notes on Hamlet's first and second act in my BuJo. My summer break started last friday and I have so much free time now. What do you do on yours summer break?
Have a picture of my calc bc notes while I procrastinate doing my calc homework

Spreads for the month are complete and Daffodil is nearly up to weight. Been spending most of my time begging my mom to keep her. Something about this foster is special.
