unpopular opinion: tfa wasnt that good, actually

I’m of the opinion that it was an averagely decent show. The animation could be fucking janky as hell at times and all that jazz. And for all that I love the designs, the *chins* leave much to be desired.

For me the appeal comes with just how different it was narratively to the other shows. Like... OP being as young and inexperienced as he was?? The way war went??? Cybertronian society???? just... different and refreshing and so damn interesting, made me wanna know more lmao

i mean they all do but differently. whirl is constantly using them ironically to be funny and annoying, tailgate uses them completely seriously and cyclonus will use one whenever hes trying to startle whirl

9. What is the most embarrassing thing they have done in front of each other?

I honestly see them as the type of couple that loves to try and embarrass one another. Thunderclash knows that being over the top romantic isn’t Rodimus’ speed but he does it just because the speedster get’s embarrassed by it lol He also knows that Rodimus secretly enjoys the attention too.

And Rodimus is just plain competitive so when he realizes what Thunderclash is doing he does it in return. They call each other mushy and sickly sweet nicknames and play songs when they come into a room. Thunderclash once serenaded Rodimus with his favorite earth song in front of the whole crew at Swerve’s.

In terms of perhaps actual embarrassment, where it wasn’t intended, then I would go with the time Rodimus forgot where he was standing and turned around only to smack his helm on Ultra Magnus’ codpiece in front of most of the bridge, including Thunderclash. At the time they weren’t dating so Thunderclash had to turn away so Rodimus couldn’t see him holding back his laughter.

Then there’s also when Thunderclash accidentally let slip his crush to a very drunk mech and then proceeded to follow the mech around when they were sober to make sure they didn’t tell Rodimus. This included going into the wash racks then he realized the two were both in there and getting caught eavesdropping. Luckily the mech had forgotten and Rodimus remained oblivious for the time but he ended up getting strange looks from the speedster for a few days. At least it ended up being a funny story after they started dating.

Yeah I agree. Sometimes people get too much into the discourse and forget that a lot of people just aren’t aware of these issues.  And sometimes a-spec people throw others under the bus when they get into arguments. But I’m not trying to start a discussion; I’m talking about shit that hurts me on my own blog. My personal blog.

I’m venting. I’m not trying to start discourse I’m simply, as an aro person, expressing how frustrating it is to see people who claim to support us, not listening to us once things get too different from their own experiences.

To me, my identity isn’t a discourse topic. Anytime I reblog a post expressing frustration at exclusionists, it’s because I don’t get to log off and forget about it. I feel like I will never be able to really be myself bc no one fucking takes us seriously and treats our identities like a stupid internet argument. I’m tired of being infantilized and treated like my identity is just a phase that kids go through. I’m an adult and I’ve gotten past all the confusing teen shit. I’m tired of feeling like I’ll never have what alloromantic people have, like I’ll always be alone and misunderstood.

I'm just tired of people who claim to support us, people who know our terminology, who know what we’re dealing with, turning around and telling us that we don’t understand out own orientations. Just like I wouldn’t be okay with a cis or straight person talking over my experiences as a bisexual non-binary person, I’m not okay with non aro people talking over me. This is just as much a part of my identity as everything else and it fucking sucks that others don’t respect it. Even ace people talk over aro people, all the time. I’m just so tired of it.

I’m not inviting people to have a discussion I’m telling people to shut up and listen for once.
