Should we be mocking someone's fanart, even if we don't like it? Doesn't that discourage them from doing better?

I agree that no one should mock someone else's fanart. At the time of queueing the poll, the ask didn't read that way to me as it used very neutral language. The wording of "appeal to" doesn't imply that the art itself is inherently good or bad. I am sorry that it came off that way.
