The West Coat of Scotland somewhere north of Ullapool. Spots like this are hard to find. Hard to get to. Best kept secret. This is perfect habitat for one of Scotland’s saltwater predators the Pollock. This particular spot hold fish from 5-10lb in weight and you can forget trying to use a conventional spinning rod to land them. They lie in wait in the Kelp forest, huge eyes looking up at the silhouette of your fly. The large mouth open, engulfs the fly and it’s game on! The fish will immediately dive downwards to the kelp. Your challenge to stop that. Good luck 😉 (all fish released safely after minimum handling and unhooking on a soft bed of seaweed to avoid scratching on the rocks) . . . . #underwaterphotography #underwater_world_ #pollock #pollackfishing #saltwaterflyfishing #orvisuk #albagamefishing #orvisendorsedguides #ullapool (at Achiltibuie) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bt5R-nqjfK3/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1lwoyqfsayush
