Hi, would you like to do VetVimes and/or PollyMal for the ship it/don't ship it ask game?

sorry it took me so long to do this, but here we go!

PollyMal: Ship it

1. What made you ship it?

Monstrous Regiment is my favorite book and i just love their dynamic! "What did he try to do to poor little you" "Patronize me" "Oh" is one of the best exchanges in anything ever (and probably the moment Mal realized they had a crush on Polly.)

2. What are your favorite things about the ship?

I really like the push and pull that there is between them. they both challenge each other and quip at each other but never with any malice, it's just really fun.

3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

I wouldn't say it's unpopular, per se, but i know everyone has their own gender and sexuality headcanons for these two so here's mine! I hc Polly as a genderfluid ace maybe bi but im not as solid on that part, as her character helped me realize *i* was genderfluid and i relate to a lot of the way she thinks as an ace person myself. Mal to me is transmasc nonbinary and would use they/he pronouns if he was around today, and is probably bisexual. :-)

VetVimes: Don't Ship It

1. Why don't you ship it?

I just want to preface this with the ship is fine and i don't mind anyone who ships it! There's not like anything wrong for it it's just not for me. The two main things that make me not ship it are that Vetinari in my headcanon is strongly aroace, and I love Sam/Sybil too much to break them up ever. (VetVimes as part of a polycule with Sybil as well, however, is a dynamic i find fun sometimes.)

2. What would have made you like it?

I actually really disliked VetVimes when I first joined discworld tumblr, but seeing all the loving fan creations about it have come around a lot, so, maybe one day you all will convert me!

3. Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it?

Yes! The dynamic of two men who deny themselves any leeway in any part of their lives indulging in each other is very good.
