Polish Folk Dancers in Traditional Costumes of the Szlachta of Poland
The Ulster Motoring Yearbook 1979. Only 50p! Probably picked up at the car show that used to be on at the King's Hall, Lisburn Road, Belfast each year.
Most of the badges on the cover are, with a few exceptions, still recognisable today. Have to admit I'm at a loss regarding the circular badge at the top between SAAB and Vauxhall. Looks familiar but I can't place it. I love the way the Austin Maxi gets its badge on there though.
As for Datsun, they were on the go until 1984 when the name started to be phased out in favour of parent company Nissan.
In the table of contents the only names I don't remember are Polski and Polonez (which it says inside are two different brands). Reading up on these though it seems the Polonez was based on a Polski car who made cars under licence from Fiat. There can't have been too many on the roads of Northern Ireland.
I miss her
